I assume the 4 switch one has the mirror fold and window lockout button in place of the the one large mirror fold button similar (or probably identical to Ashley’s explorer). Could you swap the big mirror fold button in place of the 2 smaller buttons?

I think it clips on a little differently, but I could be wrong. It's a good thought.

Can I tell you guys how much of an absolute, unnecessary pain in the ass it was to get this?

It was a real life case of "take my money" and I still had to fucking argue with them. I wanted to buy their garbage. They were going to throw this away because it was damaged, and still I had to convince them.

At least something good happened today.

Because it was damaged. Torn at the bottom and crinkled from airbag deployment. But that's why I wanted it. I'm going to re-cover it with dark gray or black fabric. I didn't want to pay for a nice one that I was just going to skin anyway.

Finding a regular cab headliner in any condition is hard, and the couple other ones I found were on the other side of the country. This one was local. It's also from a Super Duty, so it's got the roof console cutout and bracket. That wasn't even an option on 15-20 regular cab F150s.

I got the console with it. Fuckers left it out in the rain. :grumble: And they cut the harness to get it out. So fucking lazy.

That's frustrating about the console.

Makes sense why you wanted it over a nice one.

I think I got it dried out pretty well. And it'll be a while before I actually install it, so it'll have time to dry out even more.

That sounds like a lot of work. Was all of this so you could have a black headliner?

As I told Aaron, yes. That's the primary reason. Dark gray or black. There's a couple other things I'm mulling around, but that's the main reason.

I did the same thing with my Mighty Max. Even though I never got that far.

Speaking of, this is fun.

Thanks, but I don't really have any use for them.

I did my 3/s headliner and love the color.

Really ties the room together. (Movie quote)

Sometimes I wish jeff was ricey so he would do something like those fiber optic lights lol

It's funny you mention that. I found this while I was shopping for mine.

I obviously can't use it. I just thought it was amusing.

How about flannel?

Kinda had a crappy day between a few different things, but at least something went right.

Ever since I started down this interior upgrade path, I didn't want the roof and pillars to be light gray. I didn't know what to do about the B-pillars. Painting that kind of plastic never works out, and until recently I didn't think Ford made a regular cab with black upper trim.

Then I found the 21+ Baja Tan interior.

Image

I couldn't find any trim pieces for sale used. The body structure hadn't changed all that much from gen 13 to gen 14, so I decided to roll the dice and just buy new ones from Ford. It seems like a silly thing to focus on, but between tariffs and parts getting discontinued, I wanted to get them while I could.

Image

It's black. The photo just makes it look gray. The differences are extremely minor.

Image

Fits perfectly. :D I can get black seatbelt height adjusters and A-pillars off of a 4 door. I don't know for sure yet what I'm going to do about the seatbelts themselves. I have a few ideas.

I also decided to do this. You guys may have seen me complaining about the lightly used Morimoto taillights that arrived busted. I got approved for a refund, but it was a hassle. So I didn't feel too bad about doing this just to see how it looked. :D

I was a little unsure about the lights, so I'm glad I did it. I think I'm going to wait and see if Morimoto runs a memorial day sale or something.

Black belts with red stitching on the outside I think!

Lights look real good!

It’s amazing how much stays the same between “all new generations”

These are the special edition seat belts. https://www.ebay.com/itm/156721309004

They won't fit my truck. I might send mine off to Safety Restore to have the belts replaced. Maybe just go solid red or something. We'll see. That's a long way off.

2021+ belts were black, and they'd probably fit, but I get real nervous when I start mixing and matching things like pyrotechnic pre-tensioners. I doubt it'd be any cheaper than Safety Restore, if I could even find a set of intact regular cab belts to begin with.
