I would 100% absolutely give someone just as much shit for just pad slapping a vehicle. Maybe slightly less, because if it fucks up again you don’t have to pull THE ENTIRE FUCKING TRANSMISSION to remedy the problem.

Aaron is right. I can brake pad slap all day long and only have to pull the wheels to quickly fix my problem. Fixing your clutch is a MUCH bigger time commitment and waste of resources. Other than rebuilding the motor, getting to the transmission to change seals and swap clutch is probably #2 physically difficult project to tackle on a 3S. That is why you want to leave no stone unturned while in there. Buy all new and be done with it for another 10 years. Otherwise you're odd of going back in are high.

I’ll take my chances. For the next 10 so years she will see 1-2k miles a year.
