He used to be indecisive, but now he is just not sure.

Rumor has it, his wife is having cars transferred to CarMax with the hopes of ending this.

Still TBD if it helps any. Based on prior evidence, the chances of it helping are slim.

Okay here is what actually is going on. A few weeks ago was pretty frustrated with some of the more expensive options I had been looking at. I knew a family friend was selling his 07 Sequoia 4x4 Limited with 148k. More miles than what I'd really like but know it has current maintenance including timing belt and water pump. Also it's in better condition than some of the lower mileage vehicles we've looked at. Our friend brought it to us and said we could drive it for a while to see if we really wanted it, so I haven't given him any money yet. I can get it for $9k, and tax/license would be cheaper than usual

Since the Sequoia is a bit larger than what I'd really like I still have kinda been poking at GX470's. Last Thursday I found out CarMax had a 07 GX470, silver on dark gray, non-nav (can't easily replace the stereo on nav ones), with less than 89k on it. They want $18k for it. The price is at least $2k high, but it is closer to the size and style of vehicle I've been looking for. It also has a few more luxury features I kinda like. My wife took it upon herself to call the sales person we've been dealing with at CarMax to have it transferred to our local store. Due to the cost I wasn't really planning on having it transferred.

Over all I'm having a hard time justifying doubling the price, plus tax and license will cost me a lot more. I'd still likely have to do the same maintenance on both vehicles. I could afford to do more maintenance/upgrades sooner with the Sequoia over the GX470. I prefer the way the GX rides and drives, much less floaty and you can feel the weight difference between the two. Now we're waiting for CarMax to finish their post transfer inspection and repairs. Won't likely be able to see it until next Saturday. So here we are again

So the wife is making you buy the GX470 Then? If you buy it an need parts I ran across one in my local yard that rolled over.
