I converted my Stingray to competition seat backs. I love them. The full competition seat has a slightly different lower pad, but it's mostly cosmetic.
I really don't want the C8. The styling just doesn't do it for me. It's a shame, because I love everything else about the car. I'm kind of interested in what they might do with the E-Ray / Grand Sport, but I still don't think it's going to be enough to get me over my issues with the styling.
I'm not that worried about the ceramic brakes. They should last the life of the car as long as I don't damage them.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

I've worked with shift a few different times and have enjoyed the experience, but some of their cars aren't as clean as the pictures would let on. If it's at their Sacramento location we could see about having them bring it by my house this week and I could look it over for you.
They sent me close up pictures of some scuffs. There's a little on the lower edge of the bumper. It's not enough to bother me given everything else about the car is right and how hard it is to find one to begin with.
Do it. Same reason I told Vira to sell the VR4 really. Life is too short to hold on to things you don't use or not go for what you want.
This is what you want. You are not way overreaching financially. Do it.
I thought I saw San Diego? Maybe that's just where their business office is. Regardless, I appreciate it.

Only 2 years more payments? What’s the problem? Plus that GS is pure sex. Vira gets a break and the car gets the tailpipe. Do it.

I'll basically put the value of the Stingray as the down payment. Then finance the remaining 20k or so over a few years, and pay it off early like I did with the Stingray. My net monthly expenses won't change much aside from maybe insurance. It's not supercharged, so hopefully that won't change my rate much.
It'll be slightly tricky though. I can't trade the Stingray directly to Shift because they don't have a local presence. So I'll have to make the down payment from savings, then sell the Stingray to replenish that. Gonna try to do it private party at first, but I'll flip it to a dealership if it drags on for more than a couple weeks. Need to strike now while the market is high.

I think he meant the GS would get the titanium exhaust

No I meant you making love to the car. I bet we could make a cowbell post. Lol.
