Had an offer of 10k last night. He was closer at least. I really need to take better pics and a better write up to sell it correctly.

Rock crawling Humvee with 40" tires

I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Yeah they actioned that back off after it was done. The guy who bought it posted up about it. He way over payed. I could put 1” spacers and not have to cut the hood and fit those wheels. Also with 40’s you can climb a strait wall as it sticks out past the front. Another good YouTube search.

oh that would be fun. I think it was brought up a long time ago, the amount is just stupid. Just stupid.

I still don’t wanna get rid of it. It’s so cool.

Found this completely by accident. It's essentially a NEW Humvee. 266 miles, never put into service. Pretty cool.

This is the civilian version of the H1, diesel turbo with a overdrive. It could be a 60-80k vehicle. So very cool on all levels.

Could you have turbocharged yours and added an overdrive trans?

They did make turbos in the suburban and truck diesel I could have easily adapted. It required just a different dog house cover. It was prob around 1k when everything said and done.

The trans was more complicated. Different transfercase, driveshaft, and controls. It would have been around 3/4K.

So you could have had a civilian H1 for about 4-5K more? Thats not a bad price tag.

Eh. AC, real seats, an inner lining of upholstery, and a lot of other little things.

The little things, but other than that it would be driveable on the street.

100%. Really do miss mine. But I also don’t miss chasing wasps out of it and sitting in a TINY seat. But prob will go down as one of the coolest vehicles I’ve owned. And how I got it. Just reading back through the thread was fun.

Going to get the hummer Friday, setting up plans and he tells me the brakes haven’t been right since they put on new pads and bleed the brakes.

Shit guys. lol.

Well I’m 99% sure it’s his abs that has its own computer and needs a special scan tool. Just happens I have access to this. So I’m prob going to go over this week and see if I can make the abs computer cycle and see if that fixes the brakes. They say they work, just go to the floor before they are doing any good.

Picking up the hummer tomorrow at 1 to take to my boss’s shop, he’s got a tech2 to hook up to the ABS. Apparently the abs light will turn on and off. So if anything I hope to tell him what it actually is. Hopefully there is just air in the abs causing the odd issues.

If ABS light is kicking on and off at random times tells me it is more likely a broken/frayed harness wire.
