I know. I've been doing everything 1 handed. Lol. Trust me, not easy, but I need the distraction.

You keep saying it's her car. If she's feeling up to it, put her to work. Help where it makes sense, but have her do some of it.

She is doing most of it. But she was at work away from home and I got bored. Lol. We are working on it together this weekend

Didn't get as much done as we wanted to yesterday but did some thing.

Basically removed most of the interior parts we are swapping. Started wiring the new radio but need to figure out how I want to wire into the ignition system if I'm swapping in a new harness. Might just wait to finish it. Need to remove the center console though and the rear bolt for it won't come out.

Made some progress today. Trunk lid and spoiler installed. Some more interior removed. Front passenger fender removed.

Drivers fender is being stubborn. 3 of the bolts up front are seized and instead of using bolts to secure the rear behind the front wheel, they welded it. So going to have to dig out the grinder.

Have the front 3 soaking in pb blaster to see if it helps. If not, might bust out the torch or cut them out and get new ones.

Google says rallye green was first used on the 68 at a mid season change. This car was built the 2nd week of June. Kind of makes us wonder what number it was to come off the line that color.

Oh man you should try to convince her to go back to that green.

She is struggling with that right now. Hates green, but loves blue. However it's a rare green, according to the interwebs only about 5% left the factory that color. Since we are trying to restore it back to the mostly RS look, she kind of wants to do the green since rare, original, and one of the first in that color.

I'm not typically a huge green fan but based on that picture it looks cool, and seeing this I like it especially since it's original.

She wants me to order new inner fenders. Passenger side is cut to hell for some reason on the inside. Luckily, since these are so old and so popular, parts are CHEAP. Can get brand new inner fenders, both sides, including all hardware, taxes, and shipping for $200.

Got a bit more done yesterday on my lunch break.

Plan during lunch and after work today is to remove the carpet (already removed the seats and center console) and dash assembly to get ready to wire everything up. The more I take apart the more I am finding where the mouse got some wires, or the previous owner really fucked things up. Haven't seen wiring that bad in a LONG time. I mean it worked, but no idea how.

Looks about on par for nearly a 60 year old car.

As we have been tearing it apart, we have noticed that the entire front clip - outer fenders, valences, and cowl, were all from a blue 67 camaro. Rest of the car is still all the original 68 parts. Kind of interesting honestly. Don't see any frame damage, but guessing they were going for the 67 look. They modified the rear fenders to look like 67 as well, but at least they are the original and until I remove the paint, I am hoping they are in good enough shape to keep them on there.

Interesting that they tried to go back to a 67' year instead of keep 68. You going to swap back?
