nobody is upset. we just cant understand why someone would spend more money and time to cobble some hack-job together than to just do things right the first time

umm, is all this because your battery dies and you want an easy jumpstart? they make something for that...

I’ve seen those. Did you know lots of people don’t suggest lithium batteries in daily vehicles? They also don’t agree with the cold as well and don’t usually have the cca.

All this reminds me that I need to go out and start the Hummer. It's been a couple weeks.

Ya. I usually leave the truck plugged in. But I have the xmas lights on that power cord now. So need to start it more. But hopefully selling soon so won't matter.

I'd keep it on a charger, but I don't have good power access out there. I run an extension cord out of the garage on occasion, but I don't like leaving it like that.

We need to sell the fucking thing.

I run the cord under the truck and into the engine bay and leave the charger under the hood so you can't tell it's even plugged in. Not like I'm worried someone is going to take it though. It's just cleaner and easier that way so I don't have to worry about the hood catching the cord or something

i do the same. charger stays under hood with hood latched.

I just leave the hood up on mine when I connect the charger... Helps that it's in the garage :D

Coops argument against those batteries is they aren’t good for daily driving.

For his truck,

that sits,

long enough,

to drain the battery.

I already asked about those batteries and everyone was against them. Including you.

I’ve been over this before, I agree and when they are around my house I use them. The vr4. The 4 wheeler, the golf cart. But the truck is down at the lake, which is why it doesn’t get it. Or up by the road, so if doesn’t get it.

Look. I was hoping for an easy solution. Jeff didn’t see one so it will prob not happen. For all I know/knew it was as simple as pulling a fuse to make them one big 12v battery. So it never hurts to ask. I will get a pair of jumper cables and keep the jump box in the Lexus.

Can you run a long extension cord either above or below ground? Also they make some nice $75 compact jumper packs that work very well. I keep a couple of those handy.
