They changed it that fast? Not sure if impressed or suspect...

Said 8 hour job. Had the parts as it was sold by a Ford dealership. They just needed to do it. Rearranged some things to fit it in before they got it to me.
Book time is 7.1 a seasoned dealer tech can likely have that trans out and on the bench within 2 hours. Honestly it probably didn't even go on the bench. Changed the seal right there on the trans jack.

Also used cars has some pull in service if the vehicle is sold pending repair. They will put it in front of other jobs.

Reset mpg gauge. I know it's usually off by a couple, but previous owner averaged 11.9 mpg. I'll be curious to see what it says for me.

Also current tires say I'm going 40 but those speed signs say I'm going closer to 36/37. New tires should actually add back about 3 at that speed.

Still better than the mustang and wrangler I had. Lol.

New tires are so much better. Taller sidewall I feel less bumps plus was able to get in/out of the driveway without needing 4wd.

Pics tomorrow.

No way a wrangler got worse than 11 mpg. The 4.0 gets decent mpg. Mine got 18+ highway

Mine was modified with big tires, gears, ton of aftermarket equipment. I'll have to see if I can find my thread but I'm pretty sure I averaged about 10

He needs 4wd because of snow not because of poor driveway design :p

Drove past the mph sign thing today. My speedometer matched perfectly with it.

Mentioned this in shout but these tires are great in the snow. 2wd all morning running errands around town. No issues at all. Very happy with them so far.

Had a guy at work with that year f250 long bed, he said it’s the worst vehicle he has ever had in the snow. But could be tires.

Pickups are generally horrible in the snow. Just the lack of weight even when in 4wd. Back in my first winter with actual snow I had to drag my b2600i out of my driveway with the Montero.

Montero plowed through that shit like a tank. Mazda.... Not so much. Moved about 3" then spun.

V6 hardbody is better (heavier) but still isn't as planted as either the monty or my exploder.

One thing I like to do with all my vehicles is make it unique. Usually something small, but something usually a little weird/different that makes it mine. Trying to think if there is anything I can do that is not crazy expensive.
