2021 Silverado 3500HD, dual axle crew cab long bed

Code: Select all

Wheelbase	172 in
Length 266 in
Height 80 in
Width 82 in (mirrors folded)
How is the dualie not actually any wider than the single axle?

From what I heard it wont be X-plan eligible. I mean, not a surprise really but still kind of sucks.

Ughhh, I am really liking this truck more and more.
I think the Black Diamond or the Badlands trims are the way I would go. Best trims that still have the manual trans.

I wonder how easily these are going to be to find on the used market? I still have at least 60K miles left before I am ready to retire the Regal GS.

I want to see some more engine options. A 3.5 twin turbo. A 5.0 v8. Man those would be sweet.

You won't ever see that.

The 2.7L twin turbo will be more than enough in the Bronco. 310hp and 400tq is plenty...

Oh, that is definitely on the list, as is a 4Runner.

And with Jeeps, at least they allow other packages to be available in a manual.

I was messing around with the Bronco builder, and what the hell? If you want dual zone AC you have to have the auto. SMH.

I just love Broncos, spent a lot of time in them as a kid in Minnesota on the lake. Just miss Tiffany's FJ, don't miss the suicide back doors with kids, but miss everything else about it. These new back to roots SUVs are awesome. Jeep and Toyota are the only two that never lost their way.

I'm with you there. Jeep has kept it very much the same and just made improvements along the way. I too really like the Bronco, but am unsure how it will withstand the test of time. One thing i already dont like is the IFS vs the solid axle. That limits offroading capabilities as well as lifts. Sure it will ride down the highway smoother, but that's not necessarily the purpose of a true offroad SUV.

Now if Jeep could make more Diesel, or Hemi options then I would be game.
