Fiero = you really kinda had to be there to appreciate how misbegotten they were.
I actually shopped them for a transaxle to make my '89 McLaren Grand Prix into a mid-engine.
Shut-up about that in advance.

I've never seen this much hate directed towards a group(a generation in this case) of people before over a car.
why is this?

I didn't do it - practicality re-asserted itself.
I WAS going to do it, though...I have no excuses for the idea, other than thinking it was a different way to make use of a pile of useless parts.
I DID kinda like the Grand Prix - comfy on the road.

Have you been living under a rock? It's always been understood that Corvette's are driven by old dudes who are starting/going through a mid life crisis, and only take it out on weekends to car shows...
Just like it is the norm to say Mustang owners can't drive, 3S owners are cheap, etc.

Uh what, politics has nothing to do with it. Plus that was an article on a satirical website...

Yeah.
I actually did get as far as refining the idea to include a 3.4 DOHC w/snails - it's an interference engine, so I was gonna put low-comp pistons in it to address that and give myself a bit more boost-ability.
But...no, no-go.

I didn't realize it was satire. excuse me.
but I have seen several article/videos like this, where the guest/writer starts with "haha boomers you're gonna die" etc. that's why it appeared like just another article.

Out of the current colors, I think I would choose Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic, but the Rapid Blue looks good too. I'm hoping that they bring the "Shock" yellow/green color from the current Camaro over to Corvette for 2021 when the Z06 and convertible models hopefully come out. That'd look pretty sweet.

Elkhart is a good color too. It looked great on the C7s. The only new color I haven't see a real world photo of is Rapid Yellow. In one of the promo videos they said it had slightly more blue to it. Corvette Racing Yellow is more red tinted.
That shock color would be interesting. I hope GM seeds a few cars at SEMA this year.

I prefer the Elkhart Blue of the blues.. but shockingly I think I would tip towards white.. followed by Black or Shadow Grey Metallic.
