Yeah if I am remembering my NB configuration stuff correctly the Torsen was a stand alone option, but also was part of the performance handling package. My car seems to have it as a stand alone option, but the pics Ryan has showed me of his car leads me to believe it should have it as part of the handling package.

Ordered shifter rebuild, radiator, and window bushings. Tempted to order a starter just in case the occasional click click start issue isn't a grounding issue. Probably going to hold off on that though. Did valve stem seals yesterday, putting everything back together Sunday or Monday when the radiator comes in.

Lol. Friend did offer me his resealed 120k engine for $600 plus my core. Was tempting if I'd actually keep the car.

around here 99-00 engines go for 800-1000 depending on mileage, condition and if its fully dressed or not.

Lol not worth it. Who knows I may fall in love with the car and keep it. I can't see how it would pay to drive a $1k car across the country.

Car is back up and running, had a small hose bust so i still cant drive it. Working on the forester today until the rivet tool comes in so i can change the top. 2 days wasted on the miata due to me flipping the crank trigger around and not realizing it. Best thing is no smoke, Just need to see if the oil leaks are fixed now.

Top installed, car is good to go now, just have to register it monday, and at some point install the projectors and HID kit i have for it.

RIP miata lol.

Not sure, was driving it to pick up food and it died a few hundred feet from my apartment complex. Will pull the valve cover off tomorrow if i get enough done on the forester, thinking it jumped time somehow, cause the crank spins fine when trying to start it. At first i thought it seized up. It was during a high rpm 2-3 shift, beating on it like i tend to do with miatas.

I hope it’s something simple.
