I doubt they care all that much as long as people are watching the videos.
Yup, methanol. And likely something to clamp the upper end of the MAF Hz so that the ECU doesn't see all the extra airflow. Since the ECU doesn't see the extra air and fuel, I guess the transmission stays happy enough - though in their video there are a couple times when they get warnings on the dash display that acceleration is limited and to service traction control. They'll likely need to get in the ECU to fix some of that stuff.
Yeah he said they are manipulating some of the factory sensors.

Also, it doesn't seem to be idling all that well either...

And the clutches seem to be slipping, and he got a reduced acceleration warning. I'd say it is VERY FAR from being complete.

WTF. The PCM is under the car in the tunnel?

Low CG, probably no place else to put it. Plus aren’t most waterproof now anyway?

Ford has been putting theirs in the engine bay for years. Upside is the main engine control harness is shorter and easier to install, downside is the pcm is exposed to a lot more heat causing more failures.

I would've expected the PCM to be somewhere in the back with the engine and trans to shorten the overall wiring, but maybe there's so much connected to the front end and dash that the best spot is right in the middle.

Hopefully with the turbos tucked underneath there aren't parts visible from behind. I prefer the stealthy look (like the Spyder).

One thing about that StreetSpeed car - it convinced me that I REALLY don't like that light blue, especially with yellow calipers.

It looks like it is right in front of the crossover tube for the gas tanks. So it looks to be fairly far back in the center tunnel.

What Matt said. I would have expected it to be in or near the engine bay. It's behind the passenger side fender on the C7. I'm not saying it's unsafe or anything. It's just a weird choice.

Funny thing about the SS car. It's a wrap. So it's not like that was the only color he could get or something. He chose that and paid extra for the privilege. The car is black underneath. I do like that blue, but not with the yellow calipers and interior accents.

Speaking of yellow accents, this is going to be an option for 2021. Eww.

There's not a lot of colors that I would pair yellow accents with. I guess maybe with black or yellow, but beyond that you are getting into some ugly possibilities, IMO. But I also don't like tan interiors, and a lot of people seem to like that.

I really only like the tan interior with a red exterior, a la Ferrari. Even still, I'm going to convert my red exterior stealth to a dark interior

I'm not a fan of the traditional light tan but I do like the medium brown interiors.

I'm just glad they're offering choices. Even if I don't necessarily like some of them.

Remember the C8 that fell off the lift? It's at Copart now.

Wonder what he got as payout as it’s not like he could go buy another right away. And I saw them on eBay for more than what people paid for them.

I'd say that's probably going to be GM building him a new one for free.

I'd say that's going to be the dealer replacing his car. GM didn't do anything wrong.

GM supplies the new car, and takes the cost out of the dealer on the back-end.

Truth. Wonder if they still get to count that car towards quarterly/yearly sold unit bonus kickbacks?
