Wow. I've been doing pretty good keeping ahead of the depreciation curve. I hope it doesn't catch up to me.

I'm starting to see Grand Sports hit the 48-52k range. It's getting crazy.

I'm sure I'll lose a lot on mine, but that was expected all along. Either I'll decide C8 is worth it, or keep my C7 and be happy.

This is basically my summit car. Anything else I'd want is WAY out of reach. Diablo, Aventador, etc. I do sort of want a Grand Sport Collector's Edition, but I don't know if I want one bad enough to start over on the financing. That's mostly about aesthetics anyway. There's nothing I care about that a GS or C8 does that my C7 doesn't. Especially now that I'm adding a few of these other extras like the PDR and the mirror.

I think anything much beyond a Corvette, I would be always thinking "what if it breaks" or "what if some douche keys it", etc. I really doubt I would enjoy the experience of actually owning it because of the worries. The Corvette I feel like I can take it out and drive it hard and there's no worry. I can park it in a normal parking lot and chances are very high that it'll be completely fine.

996tt, c63amg, or a gtr would be my end game. maybe a C8, but the waxers and popularity of them would annoy me.

Arnt we all too young to have our “end all be all car”? I mean how many said that about their 3/s? How many old people do you hear say “this will be my last car”? Like no it’s not, come on.

None of us are even 50, there will be another peak car...stop talking like that.

And when your 65 and the c8 has been out for 15 years and is DIRT CHEAP. You will be like hmmmmm. Maybe I should get one to build. Because you will have time and parts will be abundant.

For the first time that I can remember, I'm perfectly happy with what I have. It's just that good. Of course that could change. Maybe the C8Z will catch my interest and I'll pick one of those up when they're a few years old. Who knows? But for now, I'm not looking for 'the next thing'.

I too am happy with what I have for now. But I have been thinking about selling the Stealth at some point and maybe getting a used GT350 at some point. But I also may spend some money on the Stealth and make it more "modern" inside.

I'm mostly happy with my current car. Need some help in the truck department though.


I'm still looking at something new and nice but considering I'm not driving a shitbox I'm not terribly motivated to move.

Don't get me wrong. There's other stuff I'd like to play with. But it's low end stuff like the Hummer. I think a Tesla could be fun if I could find one cheap.

But there's nothing really 'above' the Corvette that I want besides an unobtainable Lamborghini.

Vira wants a BMW i8. I think she's going to be disappointed when she sees how hard it is to get in and out of (8:14 if the link doesn't jump there)

Me on the other hand I don't know if I have ever been more unhappy with my vehicles as I have in the last 2.5 years

Buy an H3. They're goofy fun

I've quasi thought about it but just not my thing.

I'm happy Jeff has his 'Summit' car (for now). I think Coop is right, circumstances change. We'll see what 10 years bring. It's good to actually be content and not always 'looking for the next thing'.

Getting in an out that i8 does look...difficult. All I can do is try.

I'd LOVE a hot car that I look at (like I still sometimes do with my VR4), but it's not the priority it once was, especially as my body changes. I need a comfortable ride as much as a good looking/quick one. Now I'm actually thinking more to the 'house' I want, more than the car. I spend more time in my house anyway. That's my 'one day' dream.

Circumstances will change again. Now that I'm taking my skills/career 'seriously' again, let's see what the next chapter holds.

Also, my Stealth was my first "attainable dream car." Now, I still love the thing, and would miss it dearly if I sold it, but my level of "attainable" has changed, where I could get something like a GT350 if I really wanted too. But I don't think the trade off is that great for me at this point in time (will probably definitely change in 5-10 years as parts for the 3/S become even more scarce).
