I prefer the 05-09 since it has the VVT motor that makes a good deal more hp.

I settled with a color combo and some missing features on the Explorer, and it's a big part of why I got annoyed at it so quickly. Trying to avoid that mistake again, so yes I'm being picky on a used car.
