A friend just txt me and said, I see your Humvee and raise you an m-37. He bought one but has yet to show me pics or any info. He said it will be a 3-5 year project. So Im curious what he bought himself.

Finally mounted the license plate. Some self drilling self taping screws. I didnt go with the light above the plate like your suppose too. My thought is, A license plates are reflective. B if its at night a cop will have their head lights on and easily see the plate. C no one is gonna give two flying flips anyways.

Yes they will. I have been pulled over for my registration light being out. I know others who have been pulled over for it.

You deff dont live in TN and you dont have a firefighter tag, nor drive a Humvee. I once drove 4 years in expired tags....12k a year coaching. It wasnt till the 4th year I got pulled over and he just said go fix it now.
I dont play by your rules.

This. It gives them a reason and they'll use it.

Bought a rear view mirror. Use to driving without one as fire engines dont have one. But in all honesty I really missed one. I thought really hard about a camera on it. Not only for front Incase I get hit. But a back up one. Then I realized I just need a basic mirror and then later on if I want I can do that.

Lucky. I got pulled over less than a month past my expiration date here and they towed my car. I had just pulled into my mom's driveway and they wouldn't let me leave the car there to go to the license branch to renew them. Didn't have my insurance card on me so they ticketed me for expired plates and no insurance. I had to go renew my plates then go get my car out of impound. Went to court to fight and the ticket got thrown out, but that didn't save me from an impound fee and all that bs.

Yeah, the cop that pulled me over is a notorious stickler. Same guy gave me two window tint violation tickets years ago too. He got an award at our local middle school for not missing a single day from K-8th grade way back in the day. I would assume he finished high school the same way.

Re: The saga that will be Coop living with a retired HMMWV.
With the crv down the Humvee has moved into front line status. I took it to swimming last night, a 35 min trip previous, took an extra 7-10 mins of driving. There is a good section that is 55mph and I always go 65....well all I really could go was 55 this time. Add to that how long it takes to get there. I could have taken the Vr4, its running. Its a blast....but It needs an oil change and I want to do the timing belt with cover.
Anyways at practice people were litterally coming up and taking pictures of it. Lol. I had two random people come talk to me about it.
The center console is working great. Doesnt bounce or move. I have a place to put things....man its nice. Just need to allocate some money for the stereo.
Took it into work today with the grease gun. Gonna play find the zerc fitting. Also we have a creeper here at work and I dont at home.

I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

I don't know, but I can think of a few uses for it

I was following someone the other day, it was wet, they started to go then stopped abruptly, so I had to slam on my brakes....butt hole pucker factor was high when it locked up all 4 tires and I slid, prob only an inch but felt like 2 feet.

I assume no ABS in that thing along with shitty brakes to start with?

No abs. Good brakes. They are before the half shafts so it multiplies the braking factor. Those hose mud runners run one disk break on the diff.

Bought a grease gun this last week. Quiet day at the fire hall. Got to greasing. Ran out of grease before I ran out of fittings. Lol. None of them seemed to need it, but better to get those now then to have it fail.
