Trying to think what to do about the o2 sensors. Just leave the CEL and check it every so often to make sure that is all that it is throwing, or should I pay the $ to have it tuned on a local dyno and they can "clear" them permanently. When I get the A&A done, they will fix it then too. But do I live with it for now is the question.

Re: This can only end poorly
Po-po ruining my fun yesterday. Was at a red light on a stretch of road with 60 mph limit. Front of the line. In the group of cars turning left onto the road in front of me was a C8 Z06. He was at the back of the line. Was getting ready to launch it and catch up to him. As I was about to go a highway trooper came out of the side road and sat there. As I passed him he pulled behind me and sat. After a couple of min he started hitting me with his radar. Followed me from a distance for a few miles then turned off his radar and a few miles later exited the freeway. So couldn't catch up to the C8.

First time I actually got all three of my vehicles in 1 picture.

Very cool.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

I do the same. Fun when it happens.

Took the top off today and noticed something.
This tube in the weatherstrip on the windshield. Looking at online stuff it seems like that is not an OEM feature? It slides around easily in it.
If not, I wonder why it is there.

Re: This can only end poorly
Probably there due to your weatherstripping getting flattened out over time. That would help seal it back up.

That is what I was thinking too. Looks like they are about $800-900 for a new set of stripping. Seems to be the same consensus on the vette forum and reddit.

I took it out. I will see if I notice any wind noise next time the roof is on. If so, back in it will go. Would love to replace all the weatherstripping as it is showing its age, but that would be well over $1000 for OEM and I heard the aftermarket is shit.

Might also be there to help with rattle. As these age they rattle more. A common solution is extra o-rings on the pegs that go into the windshield of the targa. Wonder if they did this instead.
Re: This can only end poorly
You might try and leave the top off over winter (in your garage) and apply a slight massage to the weather stripping along with a hair drier. You might be able to help it regain some of its original form.

I have this seal stuff the spyders put on their seals. Conditions them and April use to say make them plump some. I forget the name but I use to a couple times a year.

I've got a tube of that I need to put on mine.
The o-ring thing worked to help with the rattle on my white car before I bought the redesigned pins and strikers.
