Dunno how it is on the full size trucks, but there's no workaround on the H3 / Colorado. Gotta have a Tech 2. I've got a cracked version of the Tech2Win laptop emulator, but you need an MDI or VCX Nano to plug into the truck. If you get stuck, let me know. I can loan you one of mine.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Looks like I don't need one, but it will be a few before I buy the fobs.

This is all I needed to do.

That's similar to what I had to do for both Vira's and her sister's Mazdas when I made new switchblade keys for them. You program the actual ignition part of the key with the computer, and then the door lock portion with the lock/unlock dance.

I have no idea why GM made the fob process on the H3 and Colorado where you absolutely have to have a Tech2. It's ridiculous.

At least it's more secure than my 96 c1500 was. You could unlock that with about any similar year gm key. My buddy with his 96 lumina could unlock my truck.

Still haven't had a chance to get a new log yet to see if the lean conditions are better. Put on about 75 miles since I messed with everything. Been so sick I haven't left the house in almost 2 weeks.

Just finished installing part 2 of my three part custom tune. First part was a preset tune. Part 2 is custom. Part three will be a few more steady state logs and a couple WOT logs to fine tune everything.

New tires are night and day difference. Holy crap. So much better.

Noticed on the old tires from the truck they were wearing really uneven on the front. Outside edge really wore down compared to the inside. Truck was aligned a few months ago but debating on doing it again with the new tires.

Also the crossclimate2 on the wife's kia are amazing compared to stock.

Did not like the way they felt, had trouble holding air, way too soft for my liking, etc. Got me some of these to replace them. https://tires.costco.com/product?ItemNo=849298

Wet traction was also an issue. Leading into a cold and wet winter I wanted better tires. So went with the bridgestone since on sale at Costco. Got all 4 on both the kia and truck installed for 1200. Can't complain

Tune is finalized. No more leaks. New tires. Needs an oil change but other than that should be good for a bit.

Going to check mpg after next time I run through a tank.

Feels a lot better and has much better acceleration from higher mph now. Before trying to go from say 40 to 60 sucked. So much better now.

Back up camera stopped working today while backing out of the driveway. Not sure if I want to take apart the dash and find the fuse or just live without it for awhile. It's under warranty so if it's not the fuse I can get it replaced, but it means rewiring and taking up the carpet and everything and not sure if I want to actually do all that. Also need to check for a short as well over 20 ft of wires. Ugh.

I can back up fine without it. I just used it to see the rear bumper while backing in somewhere.

Checked all my connections, fuse, wires, etc. Don't see anything obvious. It is under warranty so going to see if I can get a new one or send it back for a replacement. If not I will just buy a different one. This was only $60

I need to see if I can get the 1-2 shift a bit softer in the truck. I think it can be done with a tune, so going to contact me tune guy a see. With the vette servo and transgo kit the damn thing hits so hard going from 1-2 that I can almost never NOT break the rear tires loose. Especially when wet. It shifts very fast and hard. I have to baby the throttle to keep them from spinning. Under heavy acceleration I don't mind the chirp, but it is annoying when the ground is all wet.

Isn't what you were trying to get? I mean, that's what those parts do.
