[quote=""DCIV""]That’s a cool option. Still seems cheapest option is 170’s. Gah tires cost too much.

Basically, also supply chain issues are pushing their costs up.

Call me crazy but $170/tire doesn't seem that expensive to me. Considering I just spent $260/tire for the Stealth...

It's not 'that bad,' but also that tire was like 150 each pre pandemic.
Also when I went down to 18s on my F150 I was surprised they were the same price as the 20s it came with

Maybe, but still $170/tire isn't terrible for good tires.
18s vs 20s all comes down to demand now. There are a lot more 20s out there now, so they are cheaper than they used to be.

Yeah I don't disagree especially since the 17" wheels i'm looking at might cause me to need $260/ea tires

He just wants them because they are "Coopers".
I like that they have little siping, but unless your alignment is mint, those will start to cup and growl due to lug spacing.

Getting an alignment with the instal but the reviews from Walmart all say they arnt that loud. Honestly it gets driven so little Im not worried about it.
But yes I want them because they are coopers. I tried to get coopers on my escape and couldnt. But actually I wanted BFGs and tried for 3 weeks to get a set of 18s someone took off with those tires after 10k miles for 500. He just would never make it work. I offered to meet him multiple times over that time any time. Heck I said leave them out I will get you the money. No dice.

I give it 8k miles and you change your tune.
Also look at that wheel gap.

Well
.I havnt put 8k miles on it in 3yrs. So not too worried about it. It looks like it wants bigger tires but not much bigger and its rubbing. Plus I tow so dont wanna kill the already crappy trans they put in them.

so far very happy. Even the wife said she doesn’t notice them being louder. They are a hair more ruff if a ride. Also a hair taller so it was harder to unload the trailer today. But it towed the trailer nicer as the new tires didn’t collapse as much as those old ones.
The real test is when it rains and snows.
I also talked to the shop about putting 4:10 gears in. He said about 1k per axle. Very tempted to do it after winter. Save up some then do it. It would make everything easier for that truck.
