With the run flat in, it will not balance. Two of the biggest places in town have told me they can’t balance them even if the run flat is out. I need to find a big rig place that isn’t afraid of this thing.

You'd need to have them roadforce balanced to check to see of they are out of round.

Steve, ever use a torque multipler? A guy on the humvee forum suggested a 4x one so I can put 300ft lbs on this shock. I seem to see ones on amazom for taking off lug nuts and crank bolts but do they make one to put my torque wrench in? If so which one?

But for the life of me can't figure out how my torque wrench hooks up even though people say it does.

Based on the Amazon photos, it looks like there's a 1/2" drive coupler that goes between the tool and your torque wrench.

The kit doesn't come with 4 sockets. It's 3 sockets and the coupler.

Gotcha. Wish it had a multiplying table but people said it didn’t come with one.

300ft lbs! That’s freaking crazy. The Humvee forum did say the trucks ride much better with new shocks.

look up specs on centerlock wheels, like on the gt3 rs and such. 600+ ft lbs. And yes they use torque multipliers for those.

I have not personally but they were used regularly when I was at Ford on the 6.0 head bolts.

I think I like the torque magnifier. It’s cheaper than that and it might be nice to loosen some bolts as well.

Some talk about snapping the lower shock bolts off and having to drill and tap them out. I freaking hate that, I need to be soaking them in PB blaster now!

Found a place in town that will change them out for 25 bucks a shock. Lol, cost me 50 for all 4 shocks and then 100 to change. Now obviously if there are problems he has to charge more but 150 for 4 new shocks installed....are you kidding me lol.

No joke! That’s just 50 more than the tool! It’s not done and said yet. I’m gonna see how they do and then see if they will swap tires. Honestly if it will drive smooth with the run flats in, I will prob want them in the next set of tires. Just heard mix results about them.

In all honesty I really do need a jack for this Humvee as I need to take the wheels off and check these hubs.

A fellow on the Humvee forums just posted about a rebuild gasket kit WITH the glow plugs that’s a actual good kit.

52 bucks. You can’t even get glow plugs alone for that much.

So I bought a set.

The reciver I bought also came in and I had plans on installing it but high today was 30....so I never got out. Tues it goes in for its shocks. So we will see how that goes.

So we have a saying....because it’s not red it means it’s prob volunteers, “it’s not ripe yet”. So funny as they did a huge study talking about how these other colors are more visable than red for fire trucks but what they didn’t realize is that then people didn’t realize they were fire related as they weren’t red!

But yes, it has all the fire holes...can’t go wrong. Lol
