Took it out last weekend and just tested everything out. My parents came with us in their class C motorhome.

Then when we got home the WRX was dropped off of jack stands and pushed to the back of the side yard so we could put the trailer behind the gate.

Overall everything went great. In perfectly flat conditions the truck is fine in 6th gear but any slight incline it needs 5th gear. Strangely enough on the steep grades it's happier cause I give it enough throttle to drop to 3rd and it just wants to accelerate.

The car trailer I use is owned by myself, my dad, and my uncle. I've also borrowed my parents motorhome a few times before we bought our own trailer. The boat is also my parents, but I get free usage of it whenever I want.

Like, do you really tow that much to cost almost 50k? If so, you rock. Do it! Let me borrow it! Just didn’t seem like it.

Better to have it and not need it vs need it and not have it.

I'm not likely going to be getting a 250/2500 anytime soon, but when you start towing something like a travel trailer it makes a difference fast. The payload capacity on my truck is officially 1200lbs. My family and I weight 500ish lbs. The tongue weight on my trailer is at least 650lbs. I'm basically over payload before even putting anything else in the trailer or truck. My truck deals with the weight well and I don't feel like it's being pushed around (probably because my truck weighs about as much as the trailer). The 250/2500 gives me a much bigger safety margin, and the amount of money in this trailer you're damned right I plan on using it frequently!

You don't rock crawl.

I live a few minutes from Portland. It's very possible I'll need a tank.
