I had one corrode like that on my Pontiac back shortly after I got it. Every tpms sensor I had has had the schrader removed without incident.
Oh I've never had a problem doing it but per Ford you're not supposed to. I'm sure gm is the same

I mean, I've never had an issue with the TPMS sensors in the Lancer being removed, either the stock TPMS or the clones I installed in the other wheels. Also, when the tires were changed on my work truck (F250) schraders were removed and reinstalled without incident. :d ontknow:
I honestly think the issue is people using metal caps on TPMS sensors causing corrosion and the reason Ford recommends against it is liability on breaking the schraders.

What's wrong with that? As long as it's an Alpha, it's accurate.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

BTW, I swapped out the water pump on Monday. That's the easiest water pump I've ever done. I had it done in about 2 hours, and I was really taking my time. It would have been even quicker if I had the right tool for the fan clutch.

I did my fan clutch, Im sure yours is the same way, yup the proper tool to hold it would have been nice. Had someone hold the belt so if did remove and a wrench with a rubber hammer WACK. Right off.

Easiest water pump I ever did was a 318 in a 78 Dodge Aspen. Well, the water pump removal was cake, and then I found out why it was leaking adding a level of difficulty to the reinstall. There was a chunk of the block that had somehow "rotted away" a hole along the mating surface. After talking to the owner I used some metal epoxy and filled the hole then smoothed it.
If it was just an R&R I bet it would have been an hour job.

The karate guy who is big on the HHRs also has some of those Aspens. I think he might be insane.

I've never done a small block Chrysler, but ive done a big block and its cake. The pump is the pulley right behind the fan.

Same with the H3.
Drain the coolant.
Pull the shroud.
Pull the fan.
Pull the accessory belt.
Remove the 5 bolts that hold the pump to the front of the block.
The fan shroud even has this lower half that rotates 180* up on to the upper half so you can clear the fan for service. It's uncharacteristically forward thinking for GM.

Maybe they knew the water pumps weren't great so they made them easy to replace

I dunno. This thing looked original. Had a GM logo cast into it. If so, it held up for over 170k miles.
Speaking of miles, I finally took the time to check the MPG. 14 city, 17 mixed

Nothing wrong with it. I'm sorry if my post came off that way. I guess I remember seeing somewhere in here that they are kinda rare.

Gotcha. I thought you were goofing on the Vortec badge or something.
I don't know how accurate this is, but it's in the ballpark of other estimates I've seen.

Production Numbers for H3T
2009: 4,736
2010: 945
============
Total: 5,680
Approximate Breakdowns go something like this:
2010 White Base Models (fleet order): 849
2010 Alpha: ~48
2010 5cyl w/ Adventure: ~24
2010 Base: ~24
2009 Alpha: ~2400
2009 5cyl w/ Adventure: ~1118
2009 Base: ~1218
Approximate total with a standard Transmission = ~56

This was the original idea for the Trailblazer SS.
