Re: It's finally done
Reset it doing the battery disconnect way. Usually when I do that and start the truck it tries to die a few times as it relearns the idle speed. However it didn't do that this time. Started faster than normal, held rpm just under 1000 for about 30 seconds then settled in right around 600 with no issue. Going to put about 200:300 miles on it and relog. See if the maf was the problem.

I know it's dumb, but I'm really liking the truck life again. I'm incredibly comfortable in it, it's useful, I like the way it looks, I like the way it sounds, etc. It puts a smile on my face. Lol.

Not really dumb. It is what works for you and what you want. That is all that matters - period. I wouldn't even consider stepping away from the wagon life if it wasn't for maybe needing something more rugged for the driveway if we go for this cabin..
Re: It's finally done
At the end of the day, that's what matters. It makes you happy. I keep saying how the orange truck is big and dumb and useless and slow...but something about it still made me smile. I'm hoping the silver truck can do the same thing.

It may not be related to your air metering issues, but just for the hell of it, tell me how many of your exhaust manifold bolts are broken off.
I think I'm missing 5 total on the Hummer.

Re: It's finally done
I'd have to look but I think maybe 2. Probably broken and not missing. I know the rear passenger side is missing/broken. If I'm still getting lean conditions once I break 200 miles since the reset I'll probably look at replacing them and see if it helps. But if I'm replacing them maybe I'll just get the long tubes at the same time. Lol. But that's $1800 I really don't want to spend right now.
Re: It's finally done
I'm not messing with mine unless I'm forced to. The L92 will have all new manifold bolts

Just looked again.
3.
Both rears and drivers side front.
If still lean I'm going to guess thats the issue. Might replace them anyway.

Hah yeah that would be an option. Looking at something relatively cheap for a couple of years until I consider the Bronco. XC70 would work. Beth would beat me upside the heat and I would laugh!

Re: It's finally done
Hope my back allows me to do it. Nervous about having to try and reach the back broken bolts.
Really want to spend the money on the long tubes, but it's too expensive right now. Lol

Re: It's finally done
I know it is the "easy" way out, but I just spent the last two hours trying to remove the three broken bolts. I don't have the patience, physical ability, or knowledge to remove them. So I just swapped whatever remaining stock bolts are left for aftermarket and will keep the stock for back up.
So I am going to order these to fix the exhaust leak.

Need three of them since it is my two back bolts and my driver front.
Then maybe down the line I will do it the right way, but for now this will help with the leak and hopefully take care of my lean condition. If not, I will probably move on to replacing the intake manifold gaskets.

Re: It's finally done
Said fuck it and bought a new intake manifold gasket. I'll replace that when I put the clamps on.
Re: It's finally done
Good luck. If you're going to take the intake manifold off, you might want to replace the oil pressure sensor while you're back there. It's kind of a pain to get to, at least on mine. It's not very expensive. Make sure to get one with the filter screen insert too.

Intake removal doesn't look too hard. More time consuming than anything else. Lot of little details.
