I replaced my blend door actuator today. It has been giving me problems for a year on and off. Everyone said it was a 5 min job needs to be kicked in the nuts. There is one cover bolt that is a pain in the butt. I had to walk away. I went back and fixed it bud not a 5 min job.

What’s this? Great oil pressure. Gets less in neutral but still there.

I did look this up last night. Lol. Sadly the trans can’t hold what it already has so it cost so much to do both it’s just not worth it.

Just find a Silverado 2500 that is being parted out and pick up the engine transmission together. 6.0 with the 4l80e. When the transmission goes in mine I'm debating on doing a 4l80e swap or getting a custom built 4l60e. Price is about the same once you figure in everything needed for the swap.

Or another 5.3 and enjoy. If I did it they make a 6 speed swap for mine that’s direct bolt in. Everything else you have to worry about transfercase as well. Also wiring harness, I don’t think I wanna deal with all of that.

That's why I'll probably end up going with a custom built 4l60e. Literally just swap it out. But it will cost a few grand.

It’s not rod knock...could be piston slap. But I’ve heard knock and this isn’t it.

It doesn’t really change with RPM’s.

Access panel tells me jack squat. To be fair, I don’t know what I’m looking at but I’m sure I’d there were problems it wouldn’t look normal. This all looks clean and normal.

Tempted to change the oil to something higher weight to see if it goes away and cut open my oil filter.

But it isn’t rpm dependent. Maybe it’s just so early that when more oil pressure gets to it then you don’t hear it? Maybe it’s my ac compressor? Gah.

Did I say I am over working on broke pos.

Also I couldn’t get the charcoal canister changed.

Fail and fail for coop today.

It's extremely difficult to tell from a video. For starters take both belts off and run it. If it's gone there you go. Track it down from there.

If not it's either internal to the engine or probably a broken/loose flexplate or converter bolt.

Thank you. It needs a new belt anyways.

When my Stealth spun three rod bearings, it sounded just like that. When oil pressure built up it took up the space in the bearings and it went away. So it wasn’t rpm dependent. Also would go away quick after starting. I figured it out when I drained the oil and cut open the oil filter and there were big chunks of copper.

Guess I will be doing that as well. But honestly hope one with low miles, and great oil pressure would be fine.

I tried to find bearing. I turned on the flash. I looked all over I rubbed it down, I can’t find any. Now is it very clean...naw. But I’ve never cut open an oil filter before....thoughts?
