Here is what remains. I have two batteries and the second one is really never gonna be used so why not have an option for it to be used? It’s there. It might be simple. It might not. You all are my best option for figuring that out.

And you think, that not using a battery is going to keep it from going dead? Or that since the first once has gone dead from sitting, the second one won’t???

I recognize the problem is not using it. I think I even said “well just use it”. Also yes the second would go dead….at hopefully double the time. So maybe 6 weeks. Or maybe it doesn’t because it’s isolated and then you flip a switch and it connects the two for a jump start. At least that’s an option (override switch) on some of the aftermarket isolators. Maybe it’s a fuse for this one.

You can chill though bud.

Agreed. And it’s at the lake so minus a jump box it’s not fun to deal with. But I did buy a jump box.

My point is you’re worrying about something that’s not even a problem on the truck you bought. And something a jump box fixes.

I’m sure having crappy rusted grounds had something to do with it. And I am fixing it. Selling it.

Naw. I got you. I’m just saying, why not have the ability? I honestly like the jump box tucked away in the Lexus. Not having to swap it all up.

Because it’s not something that’s needed at all. Stop trying to Coop things. If your batteries don’t last for a few months without dying, fix the root cause of the problem, don’t band aid it with something else.

You all never do things that are out of the ordinary? You all never think something might suit your needs different than what factory thought?

I mean if your intent on doing it then your best bet would be to look up how class C motorhomes wire up their house battery to starter battery booster switch.

Yes, but not something to band aid a problem that can be repaired.

Like putting bigger brakes with viper calipers on my Stealth that makes sense. Changing the wiring on my car because there is a parasitic draw that I don’t feel like fixing properly, does not.

One could argue bigger brakes on a 3/s. Unless tracked the factory brakes are pretty dang good. It’s only in a couple occasions that you would need that….like say…I only need it on a couple occasions when my battery goes dead.

The factory brakes are fine for a factory car. Not one with double the horsepower, I make full use of my brakes ;)

You’re still trying to justify a fixable issue, by not fixing said issue, and doing something else instead. Which is just asinine.

I’m trying to make full use of already having the battery. Hopefully this new vehicle will not go dead like the avalanche and it’s a non issue. Just like hopefully you don’t drive to recklessly and need those bigger brakes.
