Well since COVID-19 I haven't done anything with this yet... I haven't even been able to get the title transfer done. I've started to poke around for transmissions again and it seems like I can find a complete STi drivetrain swap (transmission, drive shaft, rear diff) easier than the correct stock transmission.

Finally picked up the engine hoist from my friend. Now I just need to find time to start wrenching!

I kind of wish mine had folding legs. I have to actually slide my legs into the frame and then install a big bolt.

I don't really use it enough for it to be that big of a deal. But it would still be nice when I do.

Yea I finally bought a folding one very similar to yours last year. Have yet to use it but it’s much easier to store than the full size one.

I find a lot of use for my engine lift. I have lifted my lawn mower, tables, 4 wheeler, subframes....it’s just a handy tool.

Got the engine and transmission out today.

First pulled the axles

Then it was time to start jacking it up.

The current plan is to get the transmission looked at, remove the heads to have them looked at, and then reassemble. I have to smog it and complete the transfer, once that's done I'll look at a lift and some methods with all terrain tires.

Things are finally moving along on this. Have the transmission being rebuilt, and got the heads off and in to the machine shop today. Here are a few pics from when got one of the heads off. Pics from the other head are jacked up because I took them with an iPhone so they are a movie or some shit. :d oh:
