Passenger side b pillar cover on mine has always been cracked in two places. Always bugged me. Well a long time ago I bought a good one. I just got around to dyeing it the correct color and installing it. Want to do this sub box but the way the wires are I will have to disconnect them in order to remove the subs....I don't wanna do that. Car connectors are so much easier. You arnt messing those up and hooking them up backwards. Grrrr.

Okay took out the subs and dyed the felt. That didn't go as well as I hoped. I need to redo their felt in the future.
I am waiting to powder coat my intake until I get my jars from Eastwood. I'm tired of cleaning out the jar that holds the powder every time so I just bought a lot of them and now will just clean the gun every time. Will easily save me 30 mins. The pop up showed up and I'm gonna string it with lights. it comes with a cover all the way around it but I'm gonna put it down on the floor as well (as I should), I'm just curious on a way to attach it so when I fold up the pop up that it folds up with it as well. Some sort of retracting rope or something.
Other than that I don't wanna drive it till I get that washer, nope it comes in soon. I shipped that girl the injectors today with insulators. Then I cleaned up the whole garage and made it nice and clean for working!

Re powder coated my plenum and lower plenum today. Man I did so much better. Learning more and more each time. That black chrome is hard too.

Drove her into town. She is hating the transition from vacuum to boost if I am just at that right point. Also she is stumbling under boost pretty bad. Put some fresh non two year old gas in her and I need to check the fpr to see what that's set at but I think I just need a tune honestly.
Also every time I start it up I get a check engine light, cycle through....nothing stored, nothing current, clears when I ask it too. So odd.

Just reading 3si threads to get ideas. Some suggest fuel filter...well, I have never changed my fuel filter and years of it sitting...I have a brand new oem one as well, at least worth a try to mark off the list.

Been dealing with this fuel filter. Fuck that fitting on the underside of the fuel filter. I first reused the copper washers. Flip them over and usually they are okay. Fuel goes flying everywhere. Shut it off, go into town and get new copper washers. The shit still leaks. I'm glad I'm doing this outside as man I've dumped a lot of fuel. Anyone ever had an issue with those sealing? Thinking about hitting it with the impact since it was so tight to begin with!

Lol. I go read in 3si and Matt is bashing people for reusing the washers that are there just like I did. He did give me the torque specs though. I think I just have the wrong washers. Guess I will be ordering those. Shit.

I've reused them before. No issues. Just don't f them up in the process.

That's funny you found that thread. LOL.
Yeah, don't re-use them on pressurized fuel fittings if you value your car.

I have on other things as well but the upper one was super skinny for some reason....heck it wouldn't even come off and I had to make it. I just ordered some and will wait.

I also have reused copper washers without any problems. I didn't find out they were called crush washers, and single use until years later

3sx still hasn't gotten me my washers, so I went and found some oil drain ones. They seem to fit nicely. Nope.. still leak. Was meticulous with the cleaning. Are the ones Mitsu used something special? Really odd.

Nothing special, just a generic copper crush washer. They do have to be the right size, but other than that nothing unique...

The ones on it were TIGHT around the banjo bolt. The upper one I had to use a racer blade and just inch it around before coming off. None of these are that tight. Really....really annoying. Only reason I went with 3sx was to get it quickly.
Matt, happen to know the exact size?

I don't know the size, but if you look it up in Mitsubishi ASA it will probably show it in the part description after you add the part to your list.

Cool.
Next question. My upper banjo bolt to an line to oohnoo's fuel rail loop had no problems.
Is there a tapered fitting to a aftermarket banjo that might work? I had to use an impact to get that thing off. Wouldn't surprise me if it's warped...prob one of the few things I had not touched on the car.

Not really sure what you've got there. Have a photo?

It's stock. It's the threaded pipe thread to that banjo bolt on the fuel filter thing. I was just trying to think of an aftermarket way to do without a line from the tank.

That washer should work just fine. Wonder if it's just residual fuel you see freaking you out or if the fitting is damaged.
