It had a prong to go to, no idea what it is in the actual wall plug.

The controller on this thing is a watlow set up, sometimes there is hum or vibration coming from the temp control and sometimes there isn't. I called them up and asked if they have ever heard about it and they said no. Thought about replacing that part as it's anywhere from used 30 bucks to new 100. It may not be it though. It isn't effecting anything, just odd how it switches noises.

First job in the new house. The swim teams lane rope roller was built in the 60's and its wheels are just metal with a bolt and are horrible. Caused tons of problems. So I set out to redo them.

They were on the same angle iron, I took measurements and bought new angle iron. New wheels, used a nice drill press and went to town. Then used super durable wet blue powder coat.

What is it, exactly, for the wife?

Looks like an Ozark Trail mug. WalMarts Yeti knock-off.

Brian was right. It's an ozark....yeti knock off. If you don't know what a yeti is your living under a rock, they keep ice all day long. Great product. The ozark knock off does just as good.

Just did a 3/s throttle body in high temp gloss black....man talk about a lot of small areas! Man....what a pain. I hope it holds up.

Also did another ozark but with my swim team logo on it. Worked pretty well but the glue from the vinyl does NOT want to come up. I have it soaking in dawn dish soap right now. If that doesn't work I will have to step up to harsher stuff and no clue what that will do to the powder coat.

Did my first paid gig. It for for a jr racer and he wanted hammertone. I told him I’ve never done it and he was cool with it not being 100% perfect.

Powder coat 35 bucks. I’ve started using a after blast that’s basically an etcher. It’s really toxic stuff but MAN talk about clean and ready for powder.

It was one big piece, one medium that I had to take apart two smaller parts on it, a tail light base, and something that looked like a chain guard.

To be honest, they looked great. I did a great job. I also have found I love hammertone and want to redo some of my stuff.

I charged him 60. He said no, you get at least 80. I think he was thinking 100 as powder coating is expensive.

Then he said he has a bunch more stuff, again as I think it’s because I did it cheap. He said he’s also told about 8 people...so it wouldn’t surprise me if I get a lot more people wanting stuff.

Overall I think I spent 3 hours of prep, set up, spray, bake, and clean up for 45 bucks.

Not horrible. Not great. But I’m still learning.

So do you have something that can blast the oxidation off aluminum parts? I might need your help with something...

So it depends on what it is. But I would approch it two ways. First I would try this cleaner on it. It did make his allumimum clean but there wasn’t any oxidation on his parts. If that didn’t take it off, my sandblaster would.

Then the surface would need to be polished to desired level, and then I would powder coat or spray paint a clear on it so it wouldn’t happen again.

It's the accessory drive plate for my 6G75. It's all oxidized and dirty. It's got a ton of little nooks and crannies, so I'd be at it for days if I try to wire brush it. I just want to get it blasted clean and maybe coated plain boring gray.

Have a picture and size? This cleaner deff cleans faster than anything anything I’ve ever used. It’s an etcher. If you put a sticker on it and used this then removed the sticker, you would see that sticker outline. I also wear a mask when using it while having doors and windows open. It’s impressive.

Cast aluminum. I don’t know if the cleaner would take out the oxidation or sandblasting would be needed. Honestly I would clean it, powder coat it whatever color you want (even if that is just an aluminum color), and be done with it.

Looking at random shit ill likely never do for the shop that i wont have for quite some time. This doesnt seem like a bad setup for a grand. Could easily do a set of wheels at once in it with a decent rolling rack.
