I'm pretty sure he used a pajero or debonaire engine. The only person I know of that has done a montero engine is overseas and he has a single on it with some crazy coolant pipes going all over the damn place. If I remember correctly his name is Oleg Reznik or something like that.

you can go to the place in patterson and pick out your own engine. Just pick a 3.5L engine that looks like a non-turbo 3000GT engine and you are set :) .

If you go there in person with cash in hand you can wheel and deal them on a cheaper price. If they have to ship the engine, you're screwed. I get stuff from this company all of the time. They are good guys to deal with in person.
Do you guys know if anyone has successfully completed a 3.5L TD05 car?
how about a dr1200 car with a 3.5 liter pushing it? :D dropped the spool 1200-1500 rpms, is a customer of mine here in St Louis, had it at the NG this year hood-less :p

and I am very close to turning the key on my daily driver with and IPS TDO5 it with a 3.5 liter, should be a very fun pump gas car ;)

Too bad Bill's clutch died I'd have loved to see that car run.

So did Bill Buehl make it to the NG? I'd love to see some pics of his car.
