Never been a big fan of chrome, but I have to admit, it looks nice.

Just the plumbing is chrome. The front valve cover and the plenum are heat proofed. It's actually a functional shine! No, really.

holy orgasm Batman!
Very nice Scotty. That airbox is fuckin one-of-a-kind!

Also, what did you cover the turbos with? that's like...sealed really nicely...I just covered mine with a T-shirt, but that seems like it's a lot better for long-term removals..

He means what they taped off the turbine housings with. It looks like actual duct tape... the metal kind.

Gotcha, I see it now, that's definitely it.
Isn't the residue bad for when you eventually put the gaskets on?
If I have to clean that off...I'll stick with my old T-shirts :)

Not sure.

I'm really hesitant as to how this car will perform. The headers look entirely different to what I was expecting. If it runs nice and makes the power, I won't care. But if shit starts going wrong, leaks, loss in power, I'm going to stir up some shit.

I think the 1600 degree temps will burn off the residual glue ;)

yeah, exactly, but you put it together beforehand. if the precat is bolted on to the right torques, &c. and the glue melts off..it has to go somewhere, and won't that cause damage to the gaskets?
idk, it doesn't seem likely, i'm probably going way too deep into this, but T shirts are easier to take off anyway :)

These aren't Disco Potatoes.

That term is in reference to the turbo's Avi.
