Wish i had a 2wd to pick from. I was surprised to find that the guy grenaded the motor, so i got all sorts of goop and crap coming down on me. Have to extra clean that strainer too. I had to pay $90 for mine and i didnt get the stick or oil pickup.

Yea, you should be at about 1/2" i think. Maximizing the oil capacity for sure.

The door glass and the sway bare are the only things left that I'm taking. I'm not even sure why I want the sway bar. At least it doesn't take up much room.

I wanted the fuel and brake hard lines too, but then I had a moment of sense. I can't even use most of it because it's a long bed, and a lot of it will probably need to be custom anyway due to the 3.5L engine and axle swaps.

There's a 98 full size Monty that just showed up locally. I'm going to grab the front brakes off that. I can't think of anything else worth taking off it.

Grab the upper A arms if you don't have a set already. Also grab the ECU and pig tails to make your conversion setup. Might grab the fuel rail feed lines too. Oh, the rear door has the Komatsu toolbox in it. Comes with all sorts of goodies.

I'm doing a full harness using the Montero Sport harness I pulled out a few months back.

From the firewall forward it'll be Montero Sport, and from there back it'll be Max / Ram 50. I'll be merging 3 harnesses. The power windows and locks from the blue Ram 50, the gauges and HVAC from the red Ram 50, and everything forward of the firewall will be heavily modified Montero Sport stuff.

Junk truck is stripped of nearly everything usable. I pulled the entire steering system without disconnecting the fluid lines. That was fun. I've got a tentative buyer for the steering gearbox. I'll keep the lines and pump while I work out the 6G74 swap.

All that remains now is to scrap it.

There's 6 junkyards here. 3 are Pick N Pull, others are owned by Midway Auto where we bought the Spyder, and the 3rd one is independent.

Midway's online quote from was broken and wouldn't submit.
I had to leave a message for All N One.
Pick N Pull's automated online quote says they'll give me $-6. Negative six. I mean, I'd pay them $6 to get rid of it, but I didn't think that was how it was supposed to work...

I get that I took a lot off it. I just didn't think it was that far gone. I've seen cars burned clear down to the unibody with absolutely zero usable parts left, and those were still on the yard.

I've taken random metal to the scrap yard, but never a whole vehicle. I guess I'll have to call them and see what the procedure is.

Lol. The scrap yard will prob give you 230 bucks for it. I watch people take them there for that much all day long. And then we get to cut in them and then they scrap them. You are gonna get paid to do this.

The only issue is scrap is way down right now. Back when I was buying cars to part scrap was about $12 per 100lbs IIRC. Right now scrap is worth around $4.50 per 100. The scrap yard we took out scrap cars too only had one stipulation and that was they didn't take the tires, so basically once we got initial weigh-in we unstrapped the car from the dolly, they picked it up with a forklift, and we removed the tires and wheels and put them in the tow vehicle and go reweighed. I have heard of other scrap yards not taking fuel tanks too.

I know. I've seen cars burned to a crisp out on the yard. They got some dumb mfers making the rules but not my problem

Realistically I could see you getting about 150 for it. Keep the cat and sell it separate. It'll get you 60-90 by itself.
