And it’s on the transmission side of the engine. Need to change it? Have to drop the trans.

Coop
The timing sets are not by the transmissions on fords.
That’s why I replied to the GM post about it being on the transmission side.

I cant blame you. One thing that my F150 had that i like better than my RAM was the braking. I want more stopping power.

The factory battery in the F-150 is known to be absolutely terrible. It's too small, H6 size, and the build quality is severely lacking. Mine stopped taking a full charge back in November or so. The auto start stop wouldn't work anymore, the truck frequently went into deep sleep (approach lighting stopped working, and various other things) and it seemed to run rougher. I could have gotten it warrantied but with as much as it sits I decided to upgrade it. Ford had offered a 3.0 V6 diesel for one year and it required a much beefier battery, H8 size. Since the battery tray would accept the bigger battery I went ahead and got an H8. Now everything is working great again.

I wanted an H8 for a minute, but I would have had to buy the bigger tray. There really wouldn't have been much point anyway. Going from H6 to H7 was good enough.

Did you re-code your BCM to accommodate the new charging profile?

I reset the BMS but didn't plug in the laptop, I probably should.

Double check what's available for yours. On mine there was a field that specified type (AGM vs flooded) and size. At a glance, yours only has a type field. But there might be something I'm missing.

Yeah I was just looking at the Forscan spreadsheet and it looks like there isn't an adjustment for mine.

That torque increase is impressive.
