New brake pads yesterday, first oil change since buying done, and final tune installed this morning.

Should be good to go for awhile.

Definitely want to put SC on it, but that will be next year or the year after.

Plans now are to get used to it as is a bit more then get myself a helmet and sign up for my drag races and see what I can do with it.

Would love to get it on a dyno and see what kind of numbers I am putting down, but closest one is in Seattle area I think.

As mentioned in the chat, a local corvette guy was getting rid of his LED side markers (got clear instead of smoked) so was letting his smoked LED markers go for $40 so picked them up.

For reference, OEM side markers light up like this - both front and back - just a small bulb in the rear, rest is reflector.



This is what mine looks like after the intall - took about 15 min total.

Car threw another o2 code. This time p0056. I'll put it up on the lift tomorrow and see if wiring fell and burned or what. Ideally I'd get them tuned out.

Put it on the lift. Go under to check on o2 sensor. Don't see anything obvious. Can't reach extension cables to swap unless I remove exhaust because I have huge hands.

Think oh well, I'll get them tuned out eventually anyway.

Wait, what's that I see on the ground? Why is bottom of car wet on the drivers side by the engine?

Radiator fluid...

Small puddle on ground. See drips falling off the drivers side of radiator.

Can't for the life of me find where they are coming from. All I can see is splash marks and what looks like where it might have ran down the side of the radiator. Spent about an hour with it this morning and couldn't see any obvious spots.

Quick Google says they are known to crack on the drivers side in the plastic. Guessing mine is in a weird spot. I'll remove the shroud and see if I can see it.

Dunno how similar it is to the C7, but my white car had a pinhole leak between the tank and the core. No damage. Just a bad luck manufacturing defect.

You might see if the C6 Z06 or ZR1 radiators are suitable upgrades. That's what I did. Z06 radiator and upgraded electric fan. Sucks to have to do it, but it could end up being a good thing since you're thinking of supercharging it later.

I'll look into it. Dewitts are highly recommended but can run into fitment issues with a sc looks like. A&A who is the sc I'll do does offer one, but not sure how it works without the sc. Being an auto z51 it also makes it more complicated apparently because of the transmission cooler part.

Got most of the shroud off. Really didn't feel like getting into it. But looks like a hairline crack in the front of the main radiator core in the plastic on the drivers side front.

Glad you found it. I plan to go aluminum when my aftermarket auto transmission radiator dies.

That's what I'm thinking. Dewitts is great but need to see if it truly would be an issue with the supercharger.

This might be the way I have to go for the supercharger later. Stock height requires rad modification and this "short" one gives the needed clearance. For all aluminum welded (no epoxy) rads with the needed supercharger clearance, there are not many options out there.

I am like 90% sure I need the 32-1139125A, but contacted DeWitts to confirm.

spoke with Andy at A&a. One of the owners. Said get the full size radiator. They can custom the s/c kit if needed and the extra cooling is worth it. So ordered a full size dewitts

I'd switch to a standalone trans cooler as part of this.

Really? I haven't heard anything bad about needing an extra one outside the internal one that the Z51 comes with. Especially with the DeWitts. People actually struggle getting things to warm up enough sometimes, especially if they opt for the engine oil cooler option.
