didn't know it was plastic. the idea of putting that in plastic on a car never crossed my mind.
[quote=""DCIV""]Yeah. Has to conduct electricity to be powder coated. Could vinyl wrap it though.

Whenever you use forceful and overt verbal persuasion to try to convince others to see things your way, they're probably not listening to what you say, Instead they're looking for every error in you your logic and mistakes in your facts, all the while constructing counterarguments. Worse still, they don't merely believe you're wrong; they need you to be wrong in order to protect the status quo. And since the final judge exists in their own head, you lose every time. - The Influencer

I'm one of those younger buyers GM is trying to lure with the no-manual/no-chrome/engine-in-the-back car.

Same here, although chrome emblems on certain colors look good. I bought the carbon flash emblems to put on my C7, but decided to stick with the chrome ones.
I wish they'd get rid of that machined stripe on the outside of the black C8 wheels though. That looks bad, IMO.

Maybe I just live in my own chrome world. I find matte and flat colors to usually lack depth.

Its very easy for what it is. Just takes a little practice.
This was done in my cousin's basement. The pic doesn't do it justice. If I hadn't gotten as agressive as I did with sandblasting, or if I went back over the aluminum and smoothed it a little it would look even better.

hydrodipping is cool for some things, but imo the carbon always looks no better than wrap and worst usually. I think we had this discussion before lol. The wood grain looks pretty cool though.

I don't think I'd want to try to hydrodip something that's five feet long
The black is hopefully just temporary.

You'd think with as many brodozers and mall crawlers are around here, I could find a decent, used 35" tire to use as a spare.

I had a hell of a time finding a freaking stock spare and even then mine is one size too big.

I may just have to get a new one. The one on the back of the truck is stock size, so it's way too small. It's damaged anyway.

It'd be kind of a waste since ours isn't even the Adventure package. It'd make more sense to buy an Alpha to begin with, and then swap up to a 400hp Escalade L92 or something.
