I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Re: The saga that will be Coop living with a retired HMMWV.
was looking at the time line for my title so I sent the contact from govplanet a message off the forum. His response,
"David-
The SF97 was sent for title processing on 11/2/17.
I apologize I have not been on SS lately. I am hoping to get my approval to resume posting on SS soon. Apparently Ritchie Bros has a strict policy on who can and cant post of Social Media sites, to include forums. Someone from SS got butthurt with something I posted and complained to both the DLA and RBA. Needless to say it wasnt a fun conversation to have, and as much as I try to keep everyone informed, I cant do that unless I still have a job.
Thanks,"
so much of that pisses me off, he was like the shinning light when you are just in the dark of not knowing what is going on. Then some one complains hurting everyone else.....I wish he would have told me who it was.
Anyways, hopefully it will only be about 2 weeks more!

Kinda surprised they used the phrase 'butthurt'.

for jeff.
"once the SF97 is printed and comes back signed from the DLA, we will automatically send it to our title service to process into a Montana title. Once we get it back from Montana you will get an email once it is shipped out to you. Once you receive the title you will have to take it to your local DMV to have the title transferred into your name."

I think I wanna build this.
http://www.thosemilitaryguys.com/overhe ... for-hmmwv/
I can make the holder, and source my own speakers, and back up camera. I think I can make this a lot cheaper. I just really like how it all sits, I think I want the camera on all the time instead of a rear view mirror. Only thing I really would like is a dome light when you open the door. Man when its dark, you can't see shit inside.

The military version of an inclinometer
https://www.ebay.com/itm/MILITARY-INCLI ... wO&vxp=mtr
What I wish it would be, except not a jeep but a humvee.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1976-2017-Jeep ... 0041.m2061
Just bought the rear door handle, debating on the windshield wiper knob.

Ordered a new handle. Yep...ordered the wrong side. I have always got confused about right and left of a vehicle. Dangit.
I also think I'm gonna make my own wiper knob with a lathe and some plastic I have here.

Re: The saga that will be Coop living with a retired HMMWV.
Been looking at seats. Some really interesting options. Saw someone use razar seats, great idea, but seemed small. Lots of seats that are just smaller than regular seats. Think like racing seats compaired to stock 3000gt seats. One of the coolest was mrap seats. They are designed to take a blast and protect the driver, I think they have an arm rest as well. There was also a 2017 vehicle that the seats folded directly in half which is nice for space later. Some reasonable in price and some not. But they will need to be vinyl so if they get wet they just wipe off.
I am having a cooper idea though. Since this is gonna be a cold nature vehicle, I think I want to add seat heaters. Quickest and easiest way to warm up. Almost wish I could find a seat that would work that had them already installed.

Re: The saga that will be Coop living with a retired HMMWV.
That's actually not a terrible idea.
Why not just get seats from a full size SUV and build brackets? You could get some out of a junkyard dirt cheap. Something like Yukon or older Escalade seats would work.

Those are too wide, there are tons of suburbans around here rusted out and no title for 1k that I would have love to strip and put in the humvee, but they are too big. I think I will have to find a smaller car type seat and yes I want those sliders!

Jeff these were the seats I mentioned.
https://m.ebay.com/itm/2017-Chrysler-Pa ... 2344307776
Pretty cool to have screens and not bad for two front seats. Just need seat heater.
Edit: these ones have the heater, the ones last night didn't. Hate they are electric everywhere else though. Could be my cell phone charger.

Re: The saga that will be Coop living with a retired HMMWV.
Get some mid 90s grand cherokee seats. Cheap and easy.
We put them in our Cherokee, which is a small vehicle, but are much more comfortable.
EDIT: Look for pillow top ZJ seats

Wow. That's cheap.
Topeka, eh? That's about an hour from here.
I second Jason's thoughts about the GC seats. I looked at putting some in my truck. I might still end up doing it, but not any time soon.

No matter if you got them for me jeff, the shipping would still be crazy. Just looked at the jeep seats, they look like 80's Cadillac seats....not what I want.

They also do non-pillow tops. Just recommended since super easy to find and cheap to get.
