What's wrong with the same jug that's been around for 40+ years?

We don't. We are both lactose intolerant and I hate the taste of milk anyway. Only ever use lactose free milk sparingly when cooking.

I get that. So do you and the kids do the same? My wife is the same as yours but the boys and I still drink regular milk.

Actually no. I, as many other immigrants, have an issue with the protein in dairy here in the US. A1 vs A2 protein. I thought I was lactose intolerant originally here, but then I went back home and drank milk (and ate half a Baked Alaska by myself) without issues. I have discovered that the ultrafiltered milk (which also happens to be lactose free) gives me less issues. So that is what I buy hah.

I read somewhere (I don't remember where) most adults have limited ability to process lactose anyways. It's a fairly recent (within the last 400 years) evolution for humans to even process lactose past childhood.

I eat a lot! You should see when my sister, my brother in law and I all get together. My mom cooks up enough to feed a small army and there is never anything left.

You and me both. I have zero problem with lactose.
