That's our separation of church and state :p
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

It's all good. Vette is Jeff's. I don't drive it unless it's a special occasion. If you've noticed by now, Jeff is very, very, VERY particular on his nice cars. I'm not putting a scratch on that splitter. :p

Audi is mine. Always available for me to drive, unless special circumstances.

Hummer is ours, we both paid for it. Hence...I get my off-road time in it, and he has it for winter days for work. :p

For the most part things are 50/50 financially, unless you want a uber-fancy car, then you shell out your own $$.

Whenever you use forceful and overt verbal persuasion to try to convince others to see things your way, they're probably not listening to what you say, Instead they're looking for every error in you your logic and mistakes in your facts, all the while constructing counterarguments. Worse still, they don't merely believe you're wrong; they need you to be wrong in order to protect the status quo. And since the final judge exists in their own head, you lose every time. - The Influencer

I'm probably just as bad as Jeff. My wife refuses to drive my nice cars because she doesn't have the same level of appreciation as I do. Not a dig at her as my level is not "normal".

I wish my wife paid for her stuff too. Lol. In all fairness she keeps the house in check and babysits the boys, so...she gets a pass. ;)

Oh, I appreciate the vette a lot! I just don't want to be responsible for anything happening to it. I hit a pothole I didn't see on the highway driving the Stingray back home after selling the VR4...man did I get CHEWED out. I really didn't see it...but I was 'supposed to' see it. :p

I have made a point since we've been together to pay my way. Sure, we give each other gifts. Jeff has purchased some really nice smart radios for both the Mazda and Audi, but for the most part I make a point that we are equals and I'm not a burden in his life (at least financially :lol :) . Burden breads resentment. I've seen it happen too many times in marriages.

Either of us would carry the other if needed though. It's just nice not to need to. :)

Sounds like a nice setup. Probably nice for getting ahead financially as well.
