Ok, so one of the parts of the car that has been bugging me is the rear center plastic between the tail lights. Its super shiny and susceptible to light scratches. I tried buffing it, but no real gains. The Mopar purist in me knows that the 70's Challengers and Chargers had that area painted more of a matte black, so why not give in and make it better, or right. :)

Here is what i mean. How its looks stock.

Starting the process. Cleaning things up.

Amazon $25 later for custom cut vinyl matte black sticker.

Decided i wanted to keep the lettering, so i lined everything up and cut out the letters with an exacto knife.

Final product.

What do you guys think?

Nice. It matches the rest of the surrounding trim and helps the taillights stand out a bit.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Yes, a highly optioned dual quad 426 Hemi. Not many of them were ever produced and Dodge was sneaky about putting them in low trim cars. Like this very basic Satellite model. Cool this one is unrestored.

Saw these beauties at the show too. I really like that EVO. Very clean. The VR4 has 27,000 miles and is spotless. He's asking $65k!!!

That's about right for a low mileage 99 I think. But it may be a bit higher now. I think prices were there a bit ago, and they've dropped off some.

Had some great 62 degree weather this weekend, so i decided it was time to finish the front mud flaps on the car. Honestly getting tired of all the micro bits of sand and rocks slowly sandblasting my paint.

Made some transferable paint marks after mocking the flaps up.

Good enough...

Let my son push me out of the way to remove necessary bolts. ;)

Put it all back together.

Full turn.

All done.
