Coop
It was 110 here not long ago, I couldn't drive the car without it?
It wasn’t a question. I was serious. It stops me from driving my car more than I care to admit.

AC blew cold for a while but then got hot again. I took the WRX back to the AC shop. It blew the whole charge out the high pressure side valve somehow, and now the compressor is cycling too quickly :sigh:

valve cores do leak. poor workmanship on the shop if they didnt check them.

From some of the mechanic YouTubers I watch, every time they service AC systems, they replace the valve cores nearly every time, regardless if they need it or not, because they are super cheap and easy to do.

Looks like the high pressure hose rubber failed. Not terribly surprised given the 253k miles on it.

I did not, I actually disconnected the whole system because the seller said the AC didn't work well. He said it was seeping out the rubber all over the line :dontknow:

surprising. not entirely impossible but not normal. nissans like to leak at the hoses/crimps but its not common on subaru.

The shop it's at specializes on making custom high pressure hoses so he's making me a new one for $150. No charge for the 2nd evacuation and recharge.

He said he could get a new one for $200 for me. I told him to do whatever he thinks is a better way to go. He said he thinks his materials are higher quality and to just build it, so that's what we are doing.

I felt like the Borla S-Type was too loud for a completely stock car, so I went to a stock exhaust but it's so quiet all I can hear is the transmission whine lol

Thinking about listing it for trade to see what kinds of dumpster fire things I get offered. I'm just not sure I'm actually enjoying driving it as is and the things it needs for Rally-X are expensive. I just don't feel motivated to spend that kind of money.
