Also, next time you need a belt, don't get the AC Delco belt. Get the Gates branded belt. It's the same thing, but cheaper ;)

Coop
See the thing is, this is a temporary fix, not a long term solution, and that's what is different about Cooper fixes.
This, also coop would have been like "I need to fix this permanently, I want to weld it using this coat hanger and jumper cables as a make shift welder, what's the best way to make it work?"
Lol. Yea, this is temporary until i can get a new pully found out. Hopefully now that its welded i have bought some time.

Good to know. Last owner bought them, so I've just been reusing them. He actually got both of them too small, so its a bit of a PITA.

Alright you all are right, I would run it till it broke that way but I would not have kept it forever.

Coop
[quote=""Melis""]The cop asked Coop "Are you really a firefighter?" Coop was like "yeah" then the cop said "ok your in charge" then the cop left

Yeah we'll literally make a build of belts and brand 1/3 of with Gates, 1/3 with NAPA, and 1/3 with AC Delco

Made it back home alright yesterday. I was worried it would shake around, but so far it feels balanced.

Took the old girl out for an autocross event locally. She was a lot of fun, but there are some things I would do differently should i want to compete.

I also talked my neighbor with this nicely restored 92/99 VR4 to show up. This was his first time out.

Have you heard any of the stories about certain up tight eastern states cancelling registrations on kei cars? Got any worries about Nevada pulling that bullshit?

Yea, i was reading something in the FB group about them making it more difficult for "Gray market" cars to get licensed out east. I don't know how Nevada will react. I actually had a guy act really surprised this summer when he saw i had it titled and licensed. He mentioned he looked into it and it seemed problematic. Problem is i don't license it or any of my cars in Nevada because of their BS practices. Idaho is much better.

I will note that Idaho doesn't allow for the small Kei trucks to get titled because they are too small and underpowered. I however was the second Capp to get titled in the state. :)

The whole thing is just so stupid. You can tag and drive just about any old rusty, unsafe domestic shitheap from 30 years ago. You can build your own shitheap out of a kit and get a title for it. You can legally ride a motorcycle without a helmet in a lot of states. But these Japanese cars are so unsafe they can't be allowed? WTF. I haven't looked to see how they're treating normal sized gray market imports. I had already started to sour on the idea of getting a Legnum anyway, but this was pretty much the last nail in the coffin. I don't want to go through the hassle of buying something like that only to have Missouri or wherever I might live at the time arbitrarily cancel the title out from under me.

Yea, its horseshit. I think if you get it before any ban you get grandfathered in. I guess that is nice, but what happens when you sell it?

Now they just need to put that van inside a semi or something and it'll be an automotive Turducken.
