I'm eventually going to go dual battery. It's on my list of things to do. You will get better results though for power once running with a bigger alternator though.

I figure I will when this alternator dies. They all do on chevys.

Because all your doing is fixing stuff. Leave that damn truck alone and put some miles on it.

Can't put miles on it when it's still in the shop. Lol.

Overland Avalanche!
The Avalanche you see here is almost nothing like the factory model. Where the stock LS put out 285 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, Bill Creech’s truck now makes 325 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque and delivers that torque at 2200RPM instead of the original 4600RPM. The aftermarket 4L60E transmission is chock full of severe-duty components, paired to an upgraded torque converter, and cooled by a 30,000-pound trans-cooler. It stops its mass with an oversized Z36 severe-duty brake kit from Power Stop and rolls on 35-12.50/17 General Grabber X3s. It has a welder for emergencies, tools and spares for every eventuality, and a list of upgrades so long it might be easier to tell you what’s still stock. In other words, we have a lot to cover, so let’s get to it.

Hell yeah!
I’ve been making a list of what I wanna do.
It needs new tires
I would like to do gears with a new diff
I want to do the 2wheel low trans options
I want to flash the ecu to adjust for the gears, delete rear O2’s, disable the traction limit power option, and remove speed limiter
I want rear camera / stereo
I want remote start.
That’s a lot!

The camera and stereo are easy. Just get what we got for the Hummer. I can make you a plug and play harness.
Our new Hummer has an aftermarket alarm with remote start. It should be just as easy on your truck.

Yup. And the gears are a neighbor who does stuff like that so really 1000 but then the diff and it can be 400-1000 depending on mild to wild.
The 2wl switch is easy as well.
I think the flash isnt bad either.
Tires I will get some take offs/used as it just doesnt get enough miles to justify that.
But Im still looking at 3k by the time I get done. Its tempting to sell it while the value is high though.
