Yea, i watched this over the weekend. His Cap looks pretty rough and neglected. Its interesting watching this video and his response to owning one. So far he seems moderately excited about it.

Went to get my hair cut on Friday last week. Car ran great until i pulled into the parking lot and all of a sudden i hear metal "tinking and clattering". Then the AC went off. I went into panic mode as parts are not available to fix or replace anything. Then the noise went away, but AC was still out. I quickly parked the car and hesitated to get out and assess the damage.
This is what i found.
Ugh...

Harmonic balancer? At least it's small enough to be practical to ship from Japan if needed.

Yea, its the harmonic balancer. Ive picked up some commercial grade rubber adhesive and might give that a try. If not i might purchase direct from Japan.

Had the same thing happen on the Baja not long ago.
How do you get parts from Japan for something like that?

I would measure it and then start looking at other makes and models. I bet there are ones out there better than repairing that one.

Most things are found on Yahoo auctions, but there are still some suppliers out there.

There is a Japanese manufacturer that appears to make the right one.
