This unholy union...

Whenever you use forceful and overt verbal persuasion to try to convince others to see things your way, they're probably not listening to what you say, Instead they're looking for every error in you your logic and mistakes in your facts, all the while constructing counterarguments. Worse still, they don't merely believe you're wrong; they need you to be wrong in order to protect the status quo. And since the final judge exists in their own head, you lose every time. - The Influencer
Is the level of bullshit you have to go through to change things in a direction you want, less than than or equal than the level of current bullshit?

LOL, yeah the Lambo was there because Alpha Performance was a sponsor. It didn't make any runs, but it would have been interesting to see.

I guess since they're inviting GTRs now, there's actually some money at the event.

Buddy is running a 5 speed Liberty trans now. He was running a TH700 when he first built it. He ran a Liberty 2 speed for a few years. He went to the 5 speed this year and has been slowly working out the kinks.

His first time at the track he effed up and had the car in 3rd when he launched and broke it. Lol. After that getting his clutch dialed in was his biggest obstacle. He cut a .9 60' on his qualifying run on Sunday.

That's a solid setup. I'm thinking 6g7* form. Keeping it all Mitsubishi.

He is 4G63 powered. He also runs a Ford 9" to handle the power.

I've got my own dreams about a 6g powered Starquest. :D It just kind of sucks that all the 6G powered Mighty Max/Monteros were all 4WD, because that would make the trans deal simple.

All of the ones in the states are 4x4, but elsewhere you can get RWD. I may have to take another vacation to NZ. ;)

You could get an R5M31 (RWD, 5 sp) behind a 6G72 in the L200 pickup.

V5M31 was the 4x4 equivalent. It was also used behind the 6G74 overseas.

Good luck finding one and getting it to the US though.

You MIGHT be able to use a Kia Sorento manual trans. I'm not sure if those came in RWD. I found one of the manual 4x4s in a local yard recently. It's got a computerized on demand transfer case. Wasn't worth grabbing.

I think you might be underestimating the complexity here.
