Nah. This will get so much better mileage than his truck or suvs. And he got a smoking deal. It’s worth it when you’re talking 41mpg highway vs 25mpg. It’s not worth it when you’re talking 25 highway vs 18-20 highway.

haha I have been looking at some cheap used motorcycles to complement the truck. I get it. I can ride Beth's scooter locally but not taking that on any longer drives or on a highway!

I mean, even if you are getting double the mileage. If one gets 20mpg and the other gets 40mpg. It’s still gonna take a long time to even break even given everything. I don’t really care but I figured some might.

Toyota truck, up to 10 now average 95% city. Vette low 20s average right now. Forester mid-low 20s. Work f150 is 19 average with the 5.0. Work rig is probably 70% freeway and country roads. Forester is about 90% city for now. But will be mainly freeway soon. Vette is probably 50/50

depends on the commute and cost of fuel. boss recently moved and was spending $600 a month on gas. bought a used honda civic and is now spending roughly 200. itll take 10 months to pay for the car in fuel savings. not to mention all the other things that are cheaper to repair on a civic vs a 15 year old sierra.
my solterra costs me about $20 a month to drive factoring in fuel, insurance, payment, and increased electricity costs.

Aaron gets it. I mean i also did get a deal on it. Paid the same as i did for the Cappuccino (but it was broken). Cappuccino still edges it out on city driving. It gets about 39mpg where the Fit appears to be closer to 35. Highway would likely be a different story. After driving it for a couple days i can see why you dont see many nice ones for sale. These are really neat cars with some interesting tricks.

lifetime average
maxima 20.058 over 47000 miles
exploder 13.585 over 10179 miles. i put about 40k on it but wasnt tracking mileage before 2018
g37 18.399 over 29568 miles
sundirt no way to easily track things but from what i can find its getting about 102MPGe with current usage. from what i saw at the end of summer when i got it (before it got cold) i should be getting about 155MPGe. well above its official rating.

Exactly. it doest take long to start seeing the savings. Especially when you live in a state where gas prices are already high. Plus do i really need to drive a big ass truck with an empty bed all over the place every day. No, thats a waste of resources.

Friend of ours lost a brick off her chimney during some high winds. It took out her passenger side headlight. We just ordered her a new one for ~$80 plus shipping.

That's a good price. I was just on there this weekend and picked up some new fog lights and a bunch of other items. Everything was cheap!

Some new parts came in. Got the new fog lights and serpentine belt. Decided to put the new lights in last evening with the boys.
Cant believe how trashed the old ones were.
