It looked clean under it. I had them put it on a lift. I believe it was either well taken care of or just Honda is better at rust prevention.

Unless you put it up under a lift I would still steer clear. Also all those pot holes jack up suspension and other components. Not to mention people are sneaky AF there. Nope.

This thing drives great, from Knoxville, and is a very good car. I do wish it was bigger and a diff color but it’s okay.

Got my first “luxury” car tax.

Service calls for new plugs every 40k. Odd enough. Whatever, it’s simple just do it.

Go to Toyota. They can’t even order the plugs. What?! Also they are 41 bucks a piece. 41!!!!! What in the Lexus bong they smoking.

Just get Iridiums and be done. It's a daily driver, and they will be way overkill. Chances are they didn't use iridium stock if they are saying 40k spark plug changes.

Yeah just make sure you get the NGK or Denso plugs as those are probably what Toyota... err Lexus used as originals

You have an 8AR-FTS with with VVT-iW (Variable Valve Timing - intelligent Wide), ETCS-i (Electronic Throttle Control System - intelligent), and ESTEC D-4ST (Economy with Superior Thermal Efficient Combustion Direct injection 4-stroke with Turbo).

I love Japan.

Washed (as in with my clothes) my Lexus key. Fail. It’s still working and I opened it up and dried it out for a day. But I expect it to quit.

Get it in a bowl of rice.

It's probably going to cost you a couple hundred to get a new one made at the dealership.

Whatever happens, keep this one anyway. Even if all the remote functions die, it should probably still work as an emergency key if you put it in the dead battery pocket.

I did the same thing with one of my ST fobs. I didn't let it dry completely, that was a mistake. Had to get a new one at the dealer. And of course have it programmed there too, because you need 2 keys to program a key yourself

I have a spare key so I will not be out. Work guy that owns local AAA said it would cost me (him) about 150 for another. So I bet about 300 if I was off the street.

Went out to pack the car to take the oldest to piano lessons. Saw a tire low….3.5psi in it. Thought that’s odd, the low tire wasn’t on but during brg the wife was gonna take the Lexus and the rear tire light was on but it was 28.5psi. So I thought maybe I just missed it. Filled it up. Went inside to get some stuff. Came back out and could hear it leaking out!!! So avalanche had to get unhooked and I will have to take the tire off tonight. Have a packed day.

Lost the lug nut key. I’ve kept the vr4 one for 20yrs. Somehow I lose the Lexus in a couple months!!!! No place around town has it. I found a Facebook part out that does. Hopefully I didn’t get screwed out of money.

You can also get a hold of the company that made them, and if you prove it's your car they'll let you buy a replacement.
