The radio still won't connect via bluetooth either. Might just order a new radio and be done with it so I can have android auto.

Congrats on the purchase. I still would like to see a photo of you inside the cab.
Because you seem to be obsessed with me fitting in this... As a reminder I am down 25 lbs since pre-injury and going to lose another 50 over the winter/spring.

You actually fit better than I expected. Leg room and all. I just remember earlier vettes being more crammed.
PS your arms are looking much better.

Pulled out the radio. That was a pain. But previous owner left the USB tied up in the back. Was able to hook my phone up and got it to work. So I should be good with that and the factory speakers for now. Just need a phone mount if I want to use gps/maps

Can you run the USB into the center console? That's how mine is set up from the factory. I just use a really short USB extension cable and leave my phone in there. Android Auto handles the rest.

I ran it through the glove box. No android auto on this head unit.

Oh, ok. When you said you got the USB to work I just assumed you meant AA.

Just allows me to play music via bluetooth/usb connection. Head unit also has spotify it connects with my phone. Basically everything I use AA for except maps/messages really.

Pretty much at a stand still right now for most things. Have the hatch struts on order, attack blue intake on order to replace the shitty k&N, cabin air filter ordered, license plate mount ordered, and a compact compressor (only have a big ass heavy duty one for truck tires) ordered since going to go with non run flats.
Might give my tint guy a call here after the intake arrives and I get the car back together and get that done. He usually does specials in the fall since business tends to die down for him this time of year.

Actually I might buy a battery. They put in the cheapest thing I've ever seen. precision parts economy battery. I could use it but it makes me nervous. Never even heard of them before. Says 20 month warranty on it. 550 CCA.
Not sure what I'd replace it with though. Don't need the heavy duty stuff like the truck.

That's AutoNation's in-house parts brand to prop up profit by not using OE parts

Ya. So I'm going to buy something better for peace of mind.

Normally I'd agree but the replacement you buy from AutoZone/Napa/O'Reilly's will likely be exactly the same thing. You'd have to get something like an AGM to really get something better.

Which I would do.

Costco batteries are quality. They use Interstate and their pricing is better than Walmart.
Id honestly just to a voltage test on yours and if its healthy then run it.

I ran a TINY one on the avalanche for 3yrs. I didn’t think it would make 1. It ended up being an okay battery. I would suggest a trickle charger if you are going to go a week here and there and not drive it. Just so you don’t end up hating it every time you want to drive it. That’s with a new battery or not.

I used to love the Costco batteries but the last couple I've had have done nothing but leak out the caps causing corrosion.

Interesting. Mine are still going strong, but maybe you got a bad batch. Did they warranty them for you?

Never tried to warranty them. After the one leaked all over our outback shortly after we got it (Subaru settled a class action lawsuit over their horrible batteries) I switched to AGM for everything.
