To me it looks like the alternator is where the power steering pump should be not sure what that empty pulley spot is it looks like it's above the alternator just everything kind of looks backwards on that thing

As long as I get the OK to drive after my casts are removed I might go look at one of these. Hoping to purchase by end of October.
If you had to pick, which one do you prefer? Blue or Silver? Color preference is blue. Engine and interior preference is silver.

biggest issue with silver is distance. about 400 miles vs 200. weekend trip vs day trip

I like the blue one more, but the price for the engine accessories on the silver is slightly better. You can probably talk blue down a bit. Note that the stroked out BB in the silver one along with the wild cam will make it less streetable and more drag strip ready. That will depend on your purpose for this car.

Definitely leaning blue but engine configuration (pulley) has me wondering why that set up. Usually done for a/c car I think.

I get being busy….but you need to make sure your dream car is the right one. Not just the closest one. They make tow companies that will bring them right to you.

More about seeing in person and checking things over for such a big purchase. Hate buying without getting my hands on it first to see things videos/pics might miss. But will probably have to go that route.

Bit of advise. Don't buy a longer land yacht than you need. So much sucks with longer cars, especially nowadays. The mid 60's Chevelles/Malibu's are where its at for mid sized/full sized muscle cars.

Up through 69 looks like about 196-197 in length, then jumps to 201 for 70+
http://chevellestuff.net/1964/misc/dimensions.htm
That said, my outback without the rear tire carrier is 191. With I am sure is over 200. So I am used to the length. 108 wheelbase on outback and 112 wheel base on the years chevelle I am looking at.
