Yeah. We had to go through that with the Spyder. It's mostly a joke though. It's just a state trooper looking over the car. They're primarily concerned with parts fencing. You need to have records of where you got all the significant parts. There's no real criteria to make sure it was repaired correctly.

From what I understand that's all, over regulated, California cares about too. Illegal parts and making sure you have proper lighting.

I suggested the G37...it's very nice looking. But the color is soooo boring.

That was about the only thing I liked about the BMW. Frode said Jersey Shores...but I thought it was so FUN!

I had huge black phase in my teens and 20s. I love color now. :)

To be fair, it looked pretty good from 10-15 feet away.

If we could get it for maybe half of the $12,800 the kid has it listed for, it'd still be a hard maybe. He's out of his goddamn mind asking "excellent condition" money for that mess as it sits though.

I've always wanted an SL

This one could be cool if it was closer. Paint is shot and I found an identical ad saying the roof didn't work, but the price is right.

It's way more than we want to spend, but it's so wild you almost have to at least consider it.

I'd be super concerned about the quality of the workmanship and mods on something like that. A lot of show cars photograph great but are massive piles of trash held together with baling wire and chewing gum.

Oh, I know. I'm not serious. It's fun to think about, but that's it.

Love SLs.. never been a fan of the SLK. To me there has always been something a bit off about the design and always said "I want a SL but can't afford it but I want to look like I have one" kind of thing.

The SL is one of the few cars where I like the older version better. The 03-07 version is just about perfect. Even though I know my Corvette was objectively a better car, there's still a part of me that wishes I had bought one of the two modded SLs I was looking at before I ended up in the C7.
