Heat shrink butt connectors or non insulated butts and dual wall heat shrink.
Not a fan of solder in automotive applications.

Solder is for boards and components, not wiring splices

In areas that move or vibrate, sure, I get it. But in a static harness laying across a static interior panel? Solder is fine. This isn't NASA or Formula 1.

You do you. I’m sure it’ll be fine but it seems like a lot of work to do it in an inferior way.
