Not sure how much money I really want to put into this thing though too. Windshield is getting replaced right now. Def needs radio and speakers. Other than that... not sure if I really want to put the money into it or just leave it a "beater"

Have you looked at the brake lines over the rear axel? Seems to rust there....apparently rust through pretty easy. So easy that mine are swapped out.

Right? It's funny how people just don't realize how little vehicles here rust. Someone told me to get my truck coated to protect from rust and my reaction was "this is part of why I put up with living in CA"

Not sure if it would fit. I'll look into it. If it does, how much do you want for it? You can pm me a price if you want.

they make a double din for those. Its the previous gen that requires cutting for a ddin.
Cheapest ive seen was $280 on ebay, id do 200. I paid $250 for it. Got it used about a year ago. Ill have to boot it up and make sure its functional. It didnt come with a mic but they are $10 on amazon. Had it in the forester but the stock radio location is too low for me to see it properly so i pulled it till i could figure a way to mount it higher, but ill probably just go with a native android radio.

From Crutchfield
Installation notes:
You'll need to cut out the metal rear support bracket to make room for your new stereo.
Your vehicle's warning chime is built into the factory radio. You'll need to purchase an adapter that retains the factory warning chime needed to keep audible safety warnings functioning and provides a switched 12-volt power source for your new radio. Crutchfield strongly recommends that you don't replace your factory radio without using a recommended adapter.
Due to the dash configuration, video receivers with retractable screens are not recommended for this vehicle.

And all the gm’s do chimes through the radio. It’s not expensive anymore, used to be like $100 for the wiring harness with the box

Crutchfield said the same thing about the H3. I didn't have to cut anything. Of course, the radio I put in was pretty shallow. It doesn't have a disc player.
I think the NEX4200 is the same one we have in the Mazda. Good radio. But some models do have a disc player, so you could be back to the cutting thing. It shouldn't be very difficult though.
