There is no bigger mistake than buying a cheap German car. Granted my buddy just bought a 5k Cayenne turbo. So far no surprises.

I saw a recent add for a cheap Cayenne Turbo. So far, the reasonable side of me is keeping me away.

Are those 2 my only options?


Ford. Every day and twice on Sunday. It's a giant car but realistically the panther is comfy and actually handles surprisingly well considering it's a body on frame boat.

Damn they are both cool. I didn’t know they put the supercharger from factory in those. Also to get that high if miles out of the v10!!! I wonder how much maintaine cost up to that point.

Yeah I've seen more than a few vettes that have given me pause

As much as I do like me a C5, or even a C6 maybe, I just can't see myself in a Vette. At least not in my current size. However, I have toyed with the idea. Would be much easier to maintain than a Chevelle and can be had for much cheaper. But old muscle cars are just so much cooler.

I love the performance of a Vette but most of the rest of it is just garbage until you get to a C7. But the reality is its the cost of wear items really keeping me from getting one.

You don't buy an older vette for the up to date features. You buy it for the performance only.

I'm not even talking about up to date features, I'm talking about build quality and materials.

Vettes were never intended to be of high build quality. They were designed to give high performance to blue collar workers who couldn't afford European cars. They were designed to be cheap as possible while being high performance and reliable.

That vette must have had a big person in it to get the seat that bad in 100k.
